Summary about my situation- December 2019 my family received military orders that required us to quickly move across the country. Because of this situation, we left quickly without securing a realtor. During the month of January (2020), my husband and I each traveled back to Texas one time. The goal was to determine what had to be done and to find a realtor. We reached out to several different realtors before getting in contact with Pam. All of the other realtors we spoke to wanted to move the house quickly and list it under property value! One realtor even told us that he would reduce his commission and we would still have to bring cash to closing. Why would I want to do that? They insisted that's what the market called for in my area and threatened my house would sit on the market for months if I didn't move quickly. Fast forward a few weeks and I find myself reading reviews and going through the community facebook page in search for a realtor. I read about Pam Gossick and find myself stalking Pam on Facebook and texting her phone directly- BEST DECISION EVER! Pam immediately arranged a time to meet with my husband and "did her homework" prior to arriving at the property. Pam was knowledgeable about the inventory DR Horton had available, along with what properties would be coming up for sale in the future. Pam used this information to determine a timeline and didn't insist we list our home below its value. Pam also took the time to reach out to me personally to make sure that my questions were answered. I was thrilled to meet with her during my trip back to Texas. Her knowledge and professionalism spoke volumes and we knew Pam was the right fit for our family. Ultimately, her passion for her work is what sealed the deal and I signed our contract that day! Due to the fact that we are now living across the country, Pam handled anything and everything that was needed to actually get the home listed and sold. Upon listing our home, we were under contract in nine days! Yup, you read that right, 9 days! Pam had negotiated a fair offer ($20,000 more than the other realtors wanted to list the property for) and again, handled repairs/requests made by the buyers. ZillowVERIFIEDTitle: Being of service to our best interest was more important than simply closing a sale! That is very rare to find!! We had many many great interactions but I will attempt to brush on the highlights. :) At first I asked Pam to help us find a rental home in the Stonebridge area where we were currently renting an apartment. She showed us several houses. Other realtors I dealt with in the past want you to sign a contract before they will even show you anything. Pam was never pushy with a contract. After looking at the cost of deposits and appliances, since we had good credit, we decided we could purchase a house for the same amount of money. This was our first home purchase. We have worked very hard for many years and have a modest budget. As such, we have to drive pretty far outside the metroplex to find something within our lending limit budget. Pam was kind enough to drive out an hour and a half south of the metroplex, not just once, but twice. We then began a search north of the metroplex and was able to find a house for a great price within an excellent school district that had a more manageable commute. When we found a house that was decent within our budget it needed some work. She negotiated with the seller to get everything in a long list fixed in work addendums. I was very impressed with how she was able to do this. Turning a house that could've been a nightmare and squalor into a highly functional and cute home for an excellent price. Pam was available and very prompt in response. She was incredibly emotionally understanding as we had some doubts and fears facing lifestyle changes and moving to a new town. She helped us see the bright side financially as well as socially, while keeping our best interest in mind every step of the way. Being of service to our best interest was more important than simply closing a sale! That is very rare to find!! She looked very sharp at closing, had the lender come and even joined us for a generous amount of time at brunch after we closed. Which was thoroughly enjoyable. Now that we have closed, she helped us pursue some warranty work on the electrical work that was done. She will fight for you from start to close and beyond, is a great listener and has a knowledgable response for all questions. With her patience and professionalism, we are extremely happy in our new home and our new life as homeowners. I would recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. She is the only real estate professional I would work with in the future after my extremely positive experience!
