One transaction that stands out involved an investor who was looking to expand his rental portfolio in Memphis but was hesitant because he was unfamiliar with the local market. We spent time reviewing neighborhoods, rental demand, renovation costs, financing options, and projected cash flow rather than simply looking at properties. After identifying the right opportunity, we negotiated favorable terms, coordinated inspections, and helped the client evaluate renovation costs before closing. Because of my background in both real estate and finance, we were able to analyze the property as an investment rather than just a purchase. The property was successfully acquired, renovated, and placed into service as a rental. More importantly, the client gained confidence in the process and continued building his portfolio. Real estate has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father, Jorge Pereyra, and I founded our company in 2003, making me a second-generation REALTOR® and giving me the opportunity to grow up around real estate, investing, and entrepreneurship. Early in my career, I also worked in banking and mortgage lending, which gave me a strong understanding of financing, underwriting, and how real estate decisions impact long-term financial goals. That experience shaped the way I approach real estate today. I don't simply help clients buy and sell properties—I help them evaluate opportunities, understand risk, and make informed decisions. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with homeowners, investors, landlords, business owners, and commercial clients throughout Memphis and the Mid-South. I've also remained active in the industry through leadership roles with the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® and Tennessee REALTORS®, as well as through our weekly real estate radio program, where my father and I have spent more than 15 years educating listeners about real estate and investing. What started as a family business became a lifelong passion. I have also served in leadership roles within the industry, including as a Board Director for both the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS® and Tennessee REALTORS®.
