ZillowVERIFIEDAs an out-of-towner, I had not believed the warnings about Boston being THE hardest city in the country to find an apartment. It could not possibly be that much of a challenge. Actually, it was all that and more. Although we had memorized maps, walked neighborhoods, searched websites, read dozens of reviews and made countless phone calls, in 3 months, we had made absolutely no progress in finding an apartment until we met Nathaniel Goodrich and The Griffin Team. We did not know Nate and had contacted him first regarding an Internet listing. His reply was very prompt, professional, thoughtful and knowledgeable. First, he reassured us that we would find a great apartment, then he clarified exactly what we were looking for. That very day, he showed us as many apartments as we wanted to see. Then, Nate helped us narrow our search, based on the factors that were most important to us and on our reactions to the first group of apartments. He came up with another list for the next day, and we were impressed at how closely those rentals fit our needs. It was obvious that Nate really listens and individualizes his suggestions for each client. After that second day of looking at many places, Nate knew what we wanted. And because we had specific (perhaps even picky) requirements, which everyone except Nate said we would never find in Boston in one apartment, he had a big job ahead of him. The next day, he showed us three apartments, and, this time, the only problem was that we liked them all! After a second visit we decided on the perfect choice. Central A.C. ?, parking included in the building ?, W&D in the apartment ?, 2 bathrooms ?, within budget ?, North End! ? Yep, all that, thanks to Nate and his knowledge of the rental market, attention to detail, ability to move very quickly on listings, communication skills (in person, and by email, phone, text) rapport with other agents and property managers, patient and encouraging manner, and ability to empathize with and listen to his clients. Nate knows the city very well, shares valuable and interesting information about Boston, is willing to give an opinion and offer advice, and apparently, can find a parking place anywhere! Nate is a great guy and and very nice person who makes the difficult job of finding a rental very pleasant and even enjoyable. I would recommend the Griffin Team to anyone searching for a home in the area. With Nate, we met a dedicated real estate professional and a friend! We will always turn to Nate for future real estate transactions.
