About Nathan Newell

A little bit about me and my Tallahassee heritage....

As a young boy, growing up in Tallahassee was wonderful to say the least. We had thousands of trees to pick from for our makeshift tree forts and miles upon miles of canopy trails to explore. We roamed the land, fished the local lakes, and camped out under the stars with friends during our summer breaks.

In 1996 I graduated from Lincoln High and enrolled at Tallahassee Community College (TCC) which turned out to be a longer stay then I had originally planned. I guess I was having too much fun and just did not want to grow up. In summer of 1999 I met my beautiful wife to be; Holly Calkins of Venice Florida. Needless to say it was not long before I obtained my AA degree from TCC and was on my way to Florida State University where I graduated in the summer of 2001 with a BS degree in Social Science. Holly and I wed in January 2001 and are proud parents of three boys and one princess!

In 2001 I obtained my Florida Real Estate Sales Associate license. I worked diligently and in 2004 I obtained my Florida Real Estate Broker License. My office is a Full Service Brokerage in Residential and Commercial sales.

I can't say enough good things about Nathan Newell! He helped us purchase our house six years ago, and he helped us sell it this September/October. He went above and beyond to make sure the house looked its best when I couldn't (we'd already moved out of town), and his advice on how to price for the market was invaluable. Within 24 hours of listing, we had 2 showings. Less than 24 hours after that, we struck a deal for more than asking! It was such a relief to work with someone I knew I could rely on to get the deal done and to get it right! If you are looking to buy or sell a house in the FL Big Bend area, I strongly recommend that you reach out to Mr. Nathan Newell. He is, by far, the best real estate agent in the Tallahassee area. I met Nathan in 2010 when we were looking to buy our first family home in Tallahassee. We were impressed with his knowledge about the market in the area. After we found and bought our property with him in the fall of 2011, Nathan also helped us selling fast the condo where we had been living before, even though by then, the country was already in the middle of the crash of the housing market. The relationship with Mr. Newell didn't end after we completed our residential transactions. Nathan's character, patience, and most importantly, honesty and friendship, caused that we became friends for the rest of our lives and our families stayed in contact. By 2020, our family had grown even more and we needed a bigger house. Of course, we reached out to Nathan and he helped us finding not just our dream house, but the dream house that every family would love to have with acreage, pool, fruit trees, gazebo with recreation area, and much more. It was the house were we wanted to retire and live for the rest of our lives. Unfortunately, I had to move to south FL last September due to health and family reasons, and had no choice other than selling my dream house in Tallahassee. Nathan assisted me in coordinating all the renovations for the house to make it market ready. The same day we put the house in the market, we had a contract signed in less than 18 hours. Each of the instances that Mr. Newell helped us buying or selling a property, he kept us well informed about the process, status of inspections, and reviewing all the documents. Our daughter just purchased her 1st home and Nathan has been so helpful, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the process. He made sure she didnt rush into anything and reminded her that the right house will come up at the right time and of course it did. I feel so fortunate to have found Nathan to work with when recently looking to purchase a property in Tallahassee. He is everything you hope to find in a Realtor with his deep knowledge of the area having grown up there.
