Established in 2007, Mony Nop has been serving the Tri-Valley area, earning a reputation as one of the region's most reliable, respected, and experienced agents. With a track record of over 400 homes bought and sold, totaling over $300 million in residential sales, Mony combines his extensive knowledge of local neighborhoods with savvy marketing strategies and exceptional negotiation skills to consistently deliver top-notch results for his clients. Under his guidance, homes typically sell for an average of 5-10% over the listing price and spend less than 10 days on the market. Impressively, more than 85% of Mony's business stems from referrals and repeat customers, underscoring his proven track record and commitment to providing excellent customer service. Mony's journey to success is rooted in a challenging childhood marked by extreme hardship. Surviving the Killing Fields of Cambodia, he spent five years in refugee camps in Thailand and the Philippines before arriving in the U.S., where he initially worked as a child laborer in a migrant camp. Despite these obstacles, Mony persevered, eventually becoming a police officer and dedicating 17 years to the Livermore Police Department. He furthered his education, earning a degree in business management from St. Mary's College, leading to a successful transition into a career in real estate. Mony attributes his ability to navigate the complexities of buying and selling homes to his difficult upbringing and law enforcement background. Beyond his professional pursuits, Mony actively engages with his community. He serves as the Coordinator of the Las Positas College President's Scholars Program, a member of the Rotary Club of Livermore Valley, a board member at Caring for Cambodia, an international nonprofit based in Austin, Texas, and is the Co-Founder of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance, an organization dedicated to assisting over 500 local nonprofit organizations in achieving their missions.

FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Hire a local Realtor, who works full time on your behalf. Ask questions about what they can do for you as a Realtor and what sets them apart from other Realtors. A Realtor who knows the area, has in depth knowledge of the purchase contract, a master negotiator and someone who is active in their market can get you into a home before it hits the market matters most.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Interview up to 3 Realtors and read their reviews on line. Ask the potential Realtors what they can do for you. Do you specialize in listings and what can they do to help you get top dollar for your home. Not all Realtors are created equal. At Mony Nop Real Estate, we specialize in listing homes, renovating your home and preparing your home property to get top dollar for you.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of buyers and sellers. However, most of my business is on the selling/listing side.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
A new buyer found me on line. After our initial meeting, I was able to find a home for them before that home went onto the market. We were able to negotiate successfully without having to compete with other buyers. I was also able to help a seller get top dollar for his home by utilizing my renovation team to prepare his home for the market. With minimal renovation, we were able to receive the sale price of what he was looking for.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I used to be a police officer and served the Livermore community for 17 years. After getting hurt on the job as a police officer, a couple of Realtor friends persuaded me to get into real estate. I love it so much that I sold 27 homes my first year as a full time Realtor. I am so grateful for this new career, and I have never looked back since.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I teach multiple classes at the local real estate association: Blueprint to be an Accepted Offer, Purchase Contract Scenarios and How to Negotiate Them, and Master the Art of Listing a Home. My in-depth knowledge of the purchase contract, I am a master negotiator, and because of my extensive knowledge of working with sellers, allow me to better guide all ov my clients.

I had the pleasure of working with Mony and Sophie during the sale of our home, and I couldn't be more grateful for their exceptional support throughout the entire process. From our very first meeting, it was clear that they bring a high level of professionalism, integrity, and genuine care to their work. Selling a home during a period of market uncertainty and unpredictability can be overwhelming, but Mony and Sophies steady guidance, clear communication, and transparent approach gave me confidence every step of the way. They are incredibly knowledgeable, deeply familiar with the local neighborhoods, market trends, and inventory - which allowed them to set realistic expectations and smart strategies tailored to our needs. What stood out most was their ability to keep us reassured and informed, no matter the challenges. They consistently went above and beyond - not just as real estate professionals, but as people who genuinely want to help given the buyer/ seller situation and as people who clearly see home sales as relationships, not just transactions. Their honesty, responsiveness, and attention to detail helped us feel supported and empowered throughout the process. Mony and Sophie are not only highly respected in the community but are also a true pleasure to work with. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a home - youll be in great hands.

Mony is an outstanding realtor. He was able to help us throughout the entire process of purchasing our new home. From prepping our old home for sale, finding the perfect home for us, and getting us in contact with contractors and vendors to work on both houses. The professionalism and knowledge of Mony and his team made this potentially stressful process a breeze. Cannot recommend enough.

My husband and I recently put our old Livermore house up for sale. Mony and his wife Sophie were recommended to us by a neighbor familiar with both their real estate reputation and their extensive community service work. The house was quite a challenge: a 109-year-old home with many charming features but only 2 bedrooms/1 bath and requiring a lot of renovation and repair. Mony and his team get up with a brilliant "as is" marketing strategy that cost us very effort and minimal upfront money. It generated considerable interest among potential buyers and lead to a high big well beyond our expectations. Mony'sand Sophie's kindness to us extended well beyond the final closing. They are not only our realtors but our friends.
