ZillowVERIFIEDAvoid Michael at all costs, as he does not have his clients best interest at heart. In my opinion all Michael cares about is money, and not the clients. Michael allowed another agent in his firm to go after a home we were under contract for, three weeks before the closing date!!! Instead of having his firms best interest at heart, he allowed two of his agents clients to get into a possible bidding war. I called him to confront him on this issue, and all he could do is make excuses, and stated the agents are 1099 subcontractors. So that says it all, do not truest this guy with your home purchase, as he will clearly sell you off the highest bidder. Great example of Ethics flying right out the door!!!! In Response to Mike: 11/2/23 Dear Mike, Just my opinion, but clearly you really care about what I have to say!!! Just because you can do something, doesn't mean its Ethical and the right thing to do. 98% of Brokers out there will not attempt to blow up their own deal, or screw over your own clients. You also created a hostile environment between your own agents fighting for the same sale. Of course I got mad and hung up, as you want to justify your actions by saying its legal, and you have done it before. I personally dont care if you stay in business, or think Im after your career, cause I wont be using your firm again, nor with the rest of my family. Im just informing other buyers that you have no interest in putting their needs first. If you find a better deal, that will make your office more money, you will do it. It was not ethical to try to blow up my deal three weeks before closing. Your offices responsibility was to represent me first, Ethically, no matter what agents have another buyer. Like you said, your office does this all the time. They break up deals already under contract, so your team can make more money. Its funny you said you had nothing to do with my deal, but I can post the contract where you signed the deal by the agent to get the deal processed as the broker. Your the broker, and the manger of the agents involved. You approved the deal, your responsible for setting the example for all the agents in your office. If you want to deny you did nothing unethical, fine. If you want to say Im trying to ruin your professional career, thats not true. Im just stating facts. Fact 1, I was represented you as the broker and my agent. Fact 2, we were three weeks away from close and moving from FL. Fact 3, as you stated, you do this all the time... meaning you blow up your own deals and that impacts the customers when they do lose their dream house. Fact 4, you dont care, and you think your justified because it doesnt break any laws at this time. Of course I would hang up on you, as I dont respect you, or your opinion in this matter. Again this is all my opinion, based on the facts as I see them. Im sorry you think your own companies behavior is detrimental to you! Maybe you should change your policy, and be ethical, and not blow up peoples purchases three weeks before they are supposed to close. But your right, its all my problem, my education, Im not a smart man, I dont have any ethics, its all my fault. You did nothing wrong, everyone is out to get you. Again just my opinion, and I feel like my story should be told so it doesnt keep happening. I will say this, my best friend in Florida is a broker, and his agents would never be allowed to behave in this manner, legal or not. Good luck to you sir.
