We needed to sell our home fairly quickly and I personally dreaded the thought of staging, listing, and dealing with negotiations. Someone suggested trying a place like OpenDoor. Let me tell you what a mistake I would have made if I had fell for a service like that and didnt happen to find Mike and Travis. If we hadnt used these guys, my family and I would have left six figures on the table during our sale. Mike and Travis are an excellent team and their sales history and volume are a testament to this. Their approach is both data and experience driven. Theyre extremely knowledgeable about real estate in the region and complement each others strengths well. They are responsive and proactive communicators. They didnt over or under promise and gave honest, professional opinions, which I personally appreciated. I wont sugarcoat it. It was a lot of work to prepare our home the way they recommended. We had a great chemistry, partly as they were very patient with anything I wanted to discuss. That is how i will describe the team of Mike and Travis. We took a home which had been a rental for 12 years and with the guidance of both, transformed it into a beautiful and inviting home which took on qualities of looking brand new in many areas! When all our work was finished, i was amazed and at the same time, so proud of what they would now bring to the market. Their marketing was everywhere - including the best pictures of our home in their full color beautiful flyer... and the full court press with Open Houses for the entire first weekend. I could not have asked for a more complete team effort. When i say helpful, Travis helped me find the right people who would take care of the Termite Inspection, Wood repairs needed, repairing of the garage floor and the real icing on the cake, a Staging Company that would put the perfect touches on our home. I would be remiss if i didn't mention him actually getting his hands dirty also, helping me reinstall a tricky bath fan, and fixing a wall acccidentally damaged during the inspection - he was always ready to pitch in. Lots of paperwork and forms as you can imagine. Mike made everything very simple, easy to understand. When i wasn't sure if i filled out a form properly, i called and he was right there to explain things and take care of the matter. That happened a few times and each, was a quick and easy fix and always handled promptly. Down to earth, easy to speak to and work with, they get my highest praise. We live in times where everyone seems to promise this and that, but actually performance is lacking in many areas of our society today and sometimes, it's downright miserable. I will remember most, seeing them take action - doing the things we discussed, without having to be reminded - which for me was huge and for you, it will also be. This is the second time we've used Mike & Travis to sell my parents homes & we HIGHLY recommend them. These agents were recommended to me by a good friend who was VERY happy with them when they helped her get top dollar for her house when she moved to a different county. Mike and Travis then helped my elderly father and I sell his home when he moved into an assisted living center. Mike and Travis were AMAZING! They treated my dad with respect during the entire process! They knew he needed help so they kept me in the loop and they delivered! They made the most beautiful advertisements for his home, staged his house very well, and made sure my dad as the seller was protected in the process.Recently, I called Mike and Travis to represent me when I sold my home. Although my experience with Mike and Travis was immensely positive from our prior experience, they showed their worth as experienced agents when I sold my home! From this experience, I realized HOW IMPORTANT it is to choose the right agent!! They went beyond the call of duty and I'm not exaggerating! I had a couple of incidents during the process and Mike and Travis came over to my house to assist me when it was not part of their job as agents but they assured me they were there to help! The most important point in this review is how they handled my multiple offers. They reviewed the offers to make sure they were viable and presented each one. We went with the highest offer and I couldnt believe how high it was! It was perfect timing because they helped me find my new home in the process! The first buyer ended up backing out and I was so worried that it would negatively affect my ability to get my new home. Mike and Traviss experience as agents came into play. They called the agent of the next highest offer. I ended up getting an even higher price for my home than the first one! On another occasion, the agent of the buyer of my property was just flaky! He wouldnt return calls and didnt get signatures in a timely manner. This experience made me appreciate how conscientious Mike and Travis ALWAYS ARE (as well as the entire team they put together).They did not merely go for the quick sell! They would not want me to accept offers unless they had particulars in it that kept me safe. I truly cant believe they pulled it off SO WELL when the first buyers backed out! And, they kept me informed all along the way to help me make informed decisions! During this process, they represented me on my purchase as well. I will just say, since this review is already long, that they did not look at me weird when I wanted to offer a lot less on a property near the beach. The sellers countered with a price that was close to my offer. So, in the end they were able to secure the the highest selling price in Orange County in over a decade on the property I sold, yet AT THE SAME TIME they secured lower than asking price on my new property near the beach! I am so thankful for the experience that Mike and Travis brought to this entire process. They made sure that the timing of the two escrows were such that it did not leave me in a bind at the end of all of this. Even after agreements were made, they were still able to get me in the best position to get more money back to me at the close of escrow! I couldnt believe it! I learned a lot in this process but the biggest lesson is the importance of the experience and work ethic of sellers and buyers agents! There are so many legal intricacies at multiple levels that can be easy to miss. Mike and Travis bring so many years of experience to the process and work so well together at EVERY step along the way! I feel so grateful that I chose them to represent me! Mike and Travis will ALWAYS be my agents of choice for selling AND buying! Thank you, Mike and Travis (as well as Carrie and everyone on the escrow team) for all that you have done for me!
