There are certain features my husband wanted and definitely I had features I wanted. Finding them all in one home, definitely a challenge. Michele took on the challenge with a smile and reassurance that it could be done. She was never pushy nor did she ever expect us to just settle. Like I said this is going to be our retirement home. We started out journey and went out looking. Months had gone by, until one day February 4, 2014, I walked into my dream home. It had everything my husband wanted and everything I wanted. It didn't seem real. We put an offer on the home and our offer was accepted. Oh what seemed to be great and exciting, was actually the beginning of our very long roller coaster ride. It began as a standard sale, then the breaks slammed down on the whole deal. The other agent pulled the comps on the house....Ummm 7 leans were attached to the property. What??? Yes, 7 and oh my goodness what a nightmare. Michele stayed calm and still reassuring telling us, we will work really hard to get this all worked out. She had an idea and brought a brilliant lady by the name of Suzanne into our deal, who was able to get, one by one the leans pulled off the house. This was the longest process ever. That roller coaster we got on, everyone involved in this deal was on the same ride. Michele, her husband John and their daughter Katie were an amazing team. It really did take everyone to help us get our home. Talk about driving your agent crazy, between my husband Paul and myself, we were texting Michele daily. What was great is she really didn't mind. The last lean was lifted in August 2014, but wait since it's been so long we now needed new appraisals on the properties. By the way, Michele was also selling our home in Norco Hills. We would get a buyer for our home, but they had to wait so long the buyer would drop the deal and move on. It was our 3rd buyer that actually bought our home. There were so many times it didn't seem like this deal would work and Michele somehow would get the ball rolling again. When it was all said and done, Michele had to admit this was the toughest deal she has had to do. She was absolutely amazing! Not only was she our agent, but I believe she became our therapist as well. She always kept us believing this deal was going to happen. September 11, 2014 we started moving into our dream home. This house is SOOOO amazing. It's a custom home in the Lake Matthews/ Gavilan Hills area. It sits high on a hill with a magnificent view, pool & Jacuzzi, RV parking, on 2.5 acres and our home looks like a castle. I still can't believe we are here. The Steeber team is amazing, but Michele is the glue and works her magic. We can't thank Michele, John, Katie, George (the sellers agent) and Suzanne enough for the amazing work they did to give us our dream.
