Pat was our primary realtor and he was quick to respond to our initial emails. ZillowVERIFIED Buying a home in Spring-Summer 2024 was the emotional roller coaster that everyone says it would be. Unlike buying in a pre-pandemic market, which I've done... It's really not fun for anyone and is a very stressful experience. Despite the stress and anxiety that we as buyers all face in this housing market (which isn't getting any better), I strongly believe I had one of, if not the best teams in western Wisconsin and the La Crosse region working for me with The Keystone Group. I'm a picky home buyer and Michele, Carla, Allie, Pat, and Meghan were all outstanding and worked fluently with each other to get me what I wanted, and at a very fair market price. In addition to all of their amazing customer and onsite service, the reason they stood out from the other realtors I've had in the past, is that they made me feel like part of their family and I got to know them personally, to a professional extent, that is (especially Carla, who we shared numerous stories on 30+ house visits). ZillowVERIFIED We met Michele about 6 years ago when we were looking for our our last house and knew she was the one we wanted to help us with selling our current home and buying our new one. She is simply the best at what she does and we highly recommend her (and her team). Michele makes you feel comfortable in your relationship from the start. She is personable, professional, trustworthy, an excellent communicator and will go above and beyond what you expect from your agent. Early on in the search for our new home, we happened to find a listing (spur of the moment) that we wanted to write an offer on. We found the listing on a Friday but bids were only being accepted until Monday. We were unable to contact our bank over the weekend so Michele recommended we try a mortgage company she was familiar with that was available on the weekend. They were able to help us put together exactly what we needed and we were able to write a solid offer submitted on time. Unfortunately we did not get that house so we continued our search until we found the one. When we did request a showing, we never had to wait more than a couple hours to view a home and when we had questions about a property they were always answered promptly-usually within minutes. Michele also handled the sale of our current home. We never had to list it on MLS as we decided to keep it an in house listing. Michele knew we needed to find a suitable home to buy before we sold and it couldnt have worked out better for us. She and her team had a buyer that was willing to hold off closing until we found our new home. We moved from Minnesota to Wisconsin and her knowledge of the multi-state paperwork process was impressive. She made sure we understood everything we were signing and made sure we had all the information we needed to make a multitude of decisions. She made the process a low stress experience for us. She is well connected with area individuals/businesses relevant to any services you may need after your purchase such as painting, plumbing, electrical etc. ensuring we would be well taken care of when it came time to make this house ours. We feel Michele and her team have truly gone above and beyond what we expected and if we ever decide to move again, wouldnt hesitate to call her. She suggested that we have a pre-listing inspection done at our expense and this alone so simplified the process that it was well worth the few hundred dollars that it cost. She also provided a stager who made good suggestions and a cleaner to work on the house just before it went on the market. These steps made the house show to its best advantage. We were first-time homebuyers moving to a new area and had to do everything virtually (I didnt see the house until closing day). Because of this challenge, getting the right agent was really critical for us. The moment I talked to Michele on the phone when scouting out agents, I knew she would be a good fit for our situation and I was right. Ive been a long-time renter and to be honest was not looking forward to the home-buying process in advance, but Michele and Carla made things really smooth. Michele listened to what we were looking for and didnt try and steer us to any particular type of home unless we asked. Carla was a pro at the virtual walk-through. Once we decided on a house, they walked us through how an offer was set up. During the whole process, Michele literally took only a few minutes to get back to us whenever we texted her unprompted. Not knowing the area, we relied on Michele for tips on who to work with (mortgage, home inspection, etc.). She always gave us several options and we were really happy with her recommendations, not to mention the home we ended up buying! And the Burton team does not disappear after you close - we had a minor repair issue right after we moved in and Michele responded with a suggested repair company as quick as if we were still in the home-buying process. I consider ourselves really lucky that we found Michele when originally looking for a realtor and would recommend Team Burton enthusiastically to anyone looking to buy a house if the La Crosse area.

Carla arranged a visit with their staging expert and by following many of the recommendations, we were able to greatly increase the visual appeal of our home with little to no extra cost. Extensive research was conducted by Carla of similar homes which had sold in our city. She suggested a price which resulted in a good offer within just days of going on the market. She also gave us good advice on our counter offer which resulted in the buyer paying close to our asking price for our house. Any questions or concerns we had with the selling process were handled quickly and efficiently. When problems arose, Carla even worked with our lender and realtor associated with the new house we were buying in our new city in another market. Her team came over to get us ready to sell and they were all professional and easy to work with. She was very thorough going through all the paperwork and made sure we understood everything before signing. She was there for us throughout the process, explaining things further when we didn?t understand. She also went above and beyond the days before closing to make sure things were going to go as smooth as possible, even negotiating items that could have been impossible. Our closing day was set for a day Michele was on a pre-planned vacation, but Carla was able to attend in her place and was briefed and prepared ahead of time with our situation. Our closings were scheduled the same day at the same location so that made things super easy. I?d recommend Michele and her team as a realtor, and I would call her again tomorrow if I needed to move.
