After 27 years in the cabinet industry, 5 years ago, I embarked on an exciting new chapter in my professional journey. I decided to completely change directions and earned my real estate license, joining Century 21 Circle. Although my primary career experience has been in the cabinet industry, I have consistently demonstrated success in sales. Since making this career change, I have excelled as a real estate professional, becoming a top producer within the brand and earning awards for both production and quality service. My career began as a production employee, and within three years, I advanced to team leader. Just six months later, I was promoted to supervisor, a role I held for 19 years. Over the course of my tenure, I gained experience in multiple departments, with most of my expertise centered in the finishing department. However, I also acquired significant knowledge in sanding, assembly, and inventory management. After spending 23 years at the same company, I took a leap of faith and accepted a position as Plant Manager at a different cabinet company. During my time there, I led efforts to reduce lead times, reorganize and clean the facility through lean principles, and implemented systems to track production metrics. These initiatives ensured proper staffing, accountability, and improved overall operational efficiency. This extensive background in management, production, and sales has provided me with valuable skills that translate seamlessly into real estate. My dedication to excellence and my ability to adapt to new challenges have been pivotal in this exciting new phase of my career.

FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Purchasing a home is a significant investment, and careful planning is essential. Here are some key pieces of advice for a buyer:
1. Assess Your Financial Readiness – Check your credit score, save for a down payment, and ensure you have enough for closing costs and future expenses.
2. Get Pre-Approved for a Mortgage – This helps you understand how much you can afford and makes you a more competitive buyer.
3. Determine Your Needs vs. Wants – Prioritize location, size, amenities, and features that are essential for your lifestyle.
4. Research the Market – Understand local home prices, trends, and neighborhoods to make an informed decision.
5. Work with a Real Estate Agent – A good agent can guide you through the process, negotiate on your behalf, and help you find the best deal.
6. Conduct a Thorough Home Inspection – Never skip the inspection; it can reveal potential issues that might cost you later.
7. Consider Long-Term Value – Think about the resale value, neighborhood growth, and potential for appreciation.
8. Stay Within Your Budget – Avoid stretching your finances too thin; unexpected expenses can arise.
9. Be Patient and Prepared to Negotiate – The process can take time, and negotiation is often necessary to secure the best deal.
10. Review All Documents Carefully – Understand all contracts, fees, and obligations before signing anything.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
1. Price It Right
-Research comparable sales in your area.
-Consider getting a professional appraisal.
-Avoid overpricing, as it can deter buyers and lead to a longer selling time.
2. Enhance Curb Appeal
-First impressions matter—ensure the lawn is well-maintained.
-Freshen up exterior paint, clean walkways, and make the entrance inviting.
3. Declutter and Depersonalize
-Remove personal items to help buyers visualize themselves in the space.
-Clear out excess furniture to make rooms feel more spacious.
4. Make Necessary Repairs
-Fix any obvious issues, such as leaky faucets, chipped paint, or broken fixtures.
-Consider minor upgrades that can boost value, such as updating light fixtures.
5. Stage Your Home
-Use neutral colors and simple decor.
-Ensure each room has a clear purpose and looks inviting.
6. Hire a Good Real Estate Agent
-A knowledgeable agent can help market your home effectively.
-They can also assist with negotiations and paperwork.
7. Market Effectively
-Use high-quality photos and videos for online listings.
-Highlight key features in the listing description.
-Share on social media and real estate platforms.
8. Be Flexible with Showings
-The more available your home is for showings, the faster it may sell.
-Keep it clean and staged at all times.
9. Understand the Closing Process
-Be prepared for negotiations.
-Know what costs you’ll be responsible for at closing.

My wife and I had been looking for a home for nearly 2 years, but nothing seemed to fit exactly what we were looking for. We crossed paths with Michele when we inquired about a home that she was listing. Although that home was not the one, she spent nearly every day of the next month viewing homes with us, being SO PATIENT, SO INFORMATIVE and BEYOND HELPFUL in our search for our forever home. Her knowledge of the process and laws put is at ease! She went above and beyond to inquire about homes that had not yet been put on the market. Just yesterday we closed on our first home and we absolutely love it! It is so rare to find a friend in the process of finding your forever home, but we found that in Michele!

Michelle was very helpful and professional. She was willing to answer any questions we had. Michelle did a excellent job getting our house sold. We did not pick the best time to sell the house (it was over the holidays) but she continued to work hard for us and it SOLD! Thanks Vicki

Michele was amazing helping us to purchase our home. We had moved here from another state and had difficult items sometimes and she was accessible, professional and friendly, and helped us with every step of the process! I would recommend her each and every time!
