We were not preparing/planning on purchasing a home, but due to an unexpected rent increase, we decided to start looking.... thus we were starting at ground zero (ie. no realtor, no lender, etc). As first time home buyers, we were able to find our home on our own online. However, finding the house is just one small stepaEUR| We knew we wanted someone with many years of experience and a realtor that has worked with both sellers and buyers to walk us through each step of the way. In this sellers market, we needed someone that was on top of everything, aggressive and more importantly, knew exactly what it took to make this deal happen. We are thankful to have found Michael through Buffini and Company. From day one Michael exceeded our expectations a hundred-fold. He lined us up with a lender right away who knew exactly what the underwriter was looking for, making the entire funding process a breeze. He spoke directly with the seller (which is rare aEUR" but he ran with the punches!) as well as the sellers agent and worked out a deal. He was mindful to let us know the pitfalls we may run into each step of the way and gave us one step at a time, to not overwhelm us in the process. The inspection process was intense to say the least but Michael literally did all of the work lining up a wide variety of inspectors to not leave any stone unturned (quite literally), getting quotes for repairs within days and making sure that we reached a fair deal in credits for such repairs. Before choosing a real estate agent, I conducted a lot of research to see who would be the best choice based on the investment they make into selling the property (time and effort, not necessarily financially) and how they promote their listings. The Wolf Real Estate Team stood out as the best San Diego has to offer: their organic rankings are excellent (meaning people find listings on his site easily), their social media presence was strong, and I could tell they put a lot of work into their listings. We spoke with Mike and then met with him at our home. He spent hours answering our questions, providing objective data regarding how many homes they sell, how long their listings typically stay on the market, and providing tons of info on comps in the area. We were concerned that our house, which was located pretty far from downtown and in a neighborhood with hundreds of similar homes would be tough to sell. Mike made the process incredibly easy and took extra steps many other Realtors don't (but should), like providing staging items, having professional photographs taken, and a lot more. When we saw our listing, we were blown away. His hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - our listing looked amazing and knocked out the competition. We planned to show the house for five days but after three days we have over 20 offers and took it off the market. Our house went under contract 5 days after we put it on the market at $80k above asking price. We accepted and Mike walked us through every step of the closing process. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. I've recommended the Wolf Real Estate Team to everyone I know. He's a true professional and a genuinely nice guy. The unknowns that COVID created some hurdles, but Mike & Jessica never skipped a beat. There is no guidebook for selling a home during a pandemic, but they certainly kept us at ease and ultimately sold our home within our goal price range that we set before the pandemic ever started. Mike was extremely communicative throughout the sales and escrow process. I always looked forward to his detailed open house summaries. ZillowVERIFIED My wife and I recently purchased a home in San Diego and used Mike and Jessica as our buyers agents. We have bought and sold three homes prior to this so we have a very good sense of what good and bad is from realtor's and I can assure anyone that the Wolf's are some of the best in the business. We were not living in San Diego, so we were totally reliant on Mike to help us maximize the search and really boil the houses down to a select group for us to come and visit for a weekend. Even though we had very limited time to view houses, Mike was able to put together options that really met our needs and did an excellent job of finding the neighborhoods we would fit into. In addition to selecting a house, Mike really helped us with due diligence to inspection, from recommending a number of detailed inspections we would not have thought of through to connecting us with a number of resources in plumbing, home repair etc. to help us get a sense for the cost of repairs - we were able to develop an irrefutable list of repairs with reasonable estimates the seller basically could not say no to. Finally, Mike and Jessica were totally supportive and helped us every step of the way. They drove and engaged our mortgage team, or inspection team, and even our move in team! Mike, Jessica and their staff are truly some of the best realtors you can have and I would highly recommend them to anyone seriously looking to purchase a home in the San Diego area.
