When we first came to Michael in early Spring 2023, we had very specific requirements of what we were looking for: a distinctive house with history with good bones that is move-in ready, a central village location, with a walkable lifestyle on the North Shore in Western Suffolk, commuting distance to both the city and eastern Suffolk. And we had to be moved in and settled before early July! During a period of limited inventory and robust housing demand, Michael delivered. He was energetic, proactive, and knowledgeable. Today, we are now in our dream house, on schedule, at a fair price. There are many variables in real estate, many of which cannot be controlled, but it was reassuring to know that Michael was not a variable. He was a reliable and steady constant. When we first met him, we immediately noticed his systematic, efficient and thorough approach to vetting a house. He has a true passion for historic/ older houses and a knowledge-base to match his energy. Nevertheless, we found him to be objective in his review of a property and could count on his frank assessments. He learned what was important to us and then cut through the noise to highlight the salient features as we saw houses. He was unrelenting in seeking out opportunities, even sending out letters to prospective sellers, encouraging them them to list. Part of finding "the house" is the chemistry you have with a house. When we found our house, Michael also knew immediately and he made it happen. We are grateful to have embarked on this process with Michael and enthusiastically recommend him. It was a house we had seen about 3 years prior but couldnt make an offer on because of life circumstances at the time. But, we had compared every house we saw since to it, making it hard to believe we would ever again find something we liked. We met Julie at an open house she was showing and clicked immediately. She began sending us a plethora of houses that were close to what we described as wanting, not resting even while she was on a safari in Africa! We felt like she understood what we were looking for and was committed to finding it for us. She was not discouraged if we dismissed any, and instead, fine tuned her search. After years of us looking independently, we made our first two offers on houses within a couple of months with Julie. We were outbid despite the advice we got from Julie and the Serhant team. Fortunately, because not long after, that house from 3 y ago went back on the market and Julie sent the listing to us immediately, without even knowing that that was aEURoethe houseaEUR?. (As an aside, to illustrate how aEURoeon pointaEUR? Julie had been, we had been working with another agent from another firm just before meeting Julie. We had even given that agent a list of houses we had loved in the past, with aEURoethe houseaEUR? top of the list as the one that got away. That agent didnt let us know that that house was back on the market or show us anything similar.)
