We cannot say enough good things about Mike!! He made our out of state transition so smooth and easy. He was very much attentive to our needs and helped us settle in smoothly, even providing recommendations for painters, carpet people, and anything else we needed recommendations for. His assistant, Serenity was also very accommodating. Anybody would be lucky to have such an awesome agent. We are so glad we found him!! Wendy and Ed Savrese

ZillowVERIFIED I can't recommend Mike enough if you are planning to either buy or sell your home. He handled both the recent sale and purchase of my new home. He is incredibly competent in all aspects of real estate. He has great resources and relationships with vendors for any quotes, repairs, and inspections. He keeps a great timeline during the stressful due diligence period. All that aside it is truly the way that he communicates with you that differentiates him from the rest. He always makes you feel comfortable, never oversteps boundaries, and fights for you as a client. Thanks Mike!

ZillowVERIFIED Mike was so communicative and reassuring through the buying and selling process. I never felt pressured nor discouraged while working with him. Mike was very involved and kept me updated on the progress of the sale of my house, which was very appreciated on my end. I felt comfortable enough to call or text him with any questions that I had, and he always got back to me quickly. Buying and selling is a very nerve racking process, but Mike always gave me truthful and helpful guidance! I will be using him for any future real estate needs and would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a realtor!

ZillowVERIFIED We were very impressed with Mike credentials and knowledge of the industry but most importantly for us, was his willingness to work with us in a difficult situation. He listened and understood what we needed and then stepped up, going over and beyond to make sure that our needs were met and we got the best sale for our property. We would definitely love to work with him again should the need arise

ZillowVERIFIED Michael was assigned to us through Zillow as I was researching home values. We decided to meet with him just to feel out the market. Michael came prepared with knowledge of the local market. He was low pressure during the entire process and earned our confidence quickly. Our parent's house (estate sale) sold quickly and the closing process was simple and quick. Very professional, but easy to talk to. He and his team (Serenity) were easy to reach, and excellent with communications. I highly recommend.

ZillowVERIFIED Mike is an excellent, honest, friendly real estate agent. This was our first time buying a home, and he went out of his way to make sure we understood everything that was happening- from day one until even after closing. He always made sure not only to point out the pros of each house we checked out with him, but the cons, and even when if in our position, he wouldnt consider a house at all. It was refreshing to not feel like he was just trying to make a quick commission off of us, but that he actually cared. Additionally, like Michael, the professionals he works with from the lender, to the inspector, to the law firm, were all extremely knowledgeable, thorough, great communicators, and personable. After this wonderful experience working with Michael, I feel confident that this process could not have gone better for us, and would not consider working with any other South Carolina real estate agents going forward.

ZillowVERIFIED My family has used Michael Matulis as our realtor in the past and have had nothing but exceptional experiences. Recently, when my brother-in-law passed away, I naturally thought of using Michael as the realtor to handle the sale of his home and property. He was not only professional as in the past but with this experience he was so understanding in dealing with the loss of this family member and knew this was a hard task that had to be done for his estate. The understanding shown was a blessing and I can never thank him enough for his constant checking to make sure we were ok with what was being done and if we just needed anything. I know there are many realtors out there but given my personal experiences, I would highly recommend Michael to handle any of your real estate needs. It is something to be said for a realtor who really and truly cares about the personal side of business with still getting the job done. Thank you again.

ZillowVERIFIED OUTSTANDING!!! I cannot express in words how much we loved working with Mike and his team. He was there the entire time for us. He helped us look at multiple homes (and we looked at A LOT) he helped us stay within our budget. He never tried to get us to increase our budget he just helped us find homes that were in or near our budget and he helped us negotiate so that we could end up with a mortgage that we could afford. He was very knowledgeable about the Columbia area and did not stop working until we closed on our home. He helped explain the processes and everything from the mortgage to inspections. If you are looking for a great real estate agent he is the one!!

ZillowVERIFIED Hardest working and best agent in the south. I used him for purchasing our house two years ago, and selling that same house this week. If he were in Ohio, Id trust him again! Mike is on top of it, highly organized, and uses technology only available to the top agents to move houses quickly. His team is great to work with and they kept me in the loop every step of the way. I was expecting my house to sit on the lot for months, he got it from listing to close, at asking price, in about a month. 10/10 would recommend Mike. No doubt the best agent in the South.

ZillowVERIFIED There should be a button beyond 'excellent' because Mike would need it for every question answered on here. It's the second time our family has had the pleasure of working with Mike and we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. There's no words that could describe how friendly, approachable, kind and understanding Mike is. Both times we've worked with him he's made it his mission to help us find our perfect homes & has gone above and beyond no matter the day or time. We was so friendly and knowledgeable about all the areas we've visited and always had tips and recommendations. Thank you for taking such good care of us again!

ZillowVERIFIED We used Mike Matulis as our agent to buy a new house in 2023 and sell our old house in 2024. Though we were not first-time home buyers or sellers, it had been well over a decade since we had done either, so we very much needed Mike's professional guidance and knowledge for both transactions. He made sure we understood the processes, kept us apprised as we moved through the various steps, and was quick to answer our multitude of questions. Mike is very friendly, easy to get along with, down-to-earth, straightforward, and honest - all qualities that made these two huge, life-changing efforts easier to navigate and manage. Though we don't plan to need Mike's services again any time soon, we definitely recommend him to any and everyone looking to buy or sell. He'll help you in any way he can.

With us moving from out of state, he was able to be there to represent us when we were not able to physically be in SC, which we were extremely grateful for. ZillowVERIFIED Had to purchase a home from 800 miles away. Mike made the process painless by helping us find homes that matched our needs, doing virtual walk throughs with videos, and pointing out both good an bad things about the houses and neighborhoods, and listening to our comments to refine the search.
