ZillowVERIFIED Before choosing a real estate agent to sell our house in Blue Bell, PA, we conducted a lot of research to see who would be the best choice based on the investment they make into selling the property and how they promote their listings. Michael Maerten and the Silva Group (Keller Williams) stood out as the best choice: their reviews are excellent, and their total sales in 2021 were strong. We met Michael at our house for an hour, answering our questions, providing objective data regarding current market, how long the current listings typically stay on the market, and providing a lot of helpful info in the area. Based on the conversation, we decided to go with Michael as our listing agent. He then developed a marketing plan that included repair suggestions, staging suggestions, advertising, etc. Michael and his teammates were extremely responsive and very pro-active on communicating with us. They made the process incredibly smooth. Michaels hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - our listing looked amazing. We had multiple offers within four days on the market. The offering price matched what Michael estimated during the initial discussion. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience.

ZillowVERIFIED When selling my mom's house, I met with three local realtors in Blue Bell. I had a lot of questions as to work that I should put into the house before listing and found Michael to be the most helpful in terms of figuring out exactly what needed to be done. He also accurately priced the house for the month we met. I waited to sell and when we met again six months later, he knew that the market had changed and was able to provide a new listing price that reflected that. Michael also helped find the contractors who did the painting, carpets and floors (and I got great prices on all). Michael set up 50 appointments with buyers to view the house in 3 days and we got 7 offers. He continued to be very helpful through the closing process. (Also, my dad is a real estate broker/lawyer in a different state and i included him in conversations before hiring Michael, during negotiations, and a few issues that popped up before closing and my dad was very impressed with Michael as well).

ZillowVERIFIED I was just wired the proceeds of my home sale, so I am writing this review as a glamorous thousandaire. Getting here was not a perfectly smooth road. Selling a house is a process full of fiddly bits, annoying wrinkles and byzantine bureaucracy. The words contingent and contingency come up a lot. Problems that lived on tomorrow's list get bumped to today. Emotion runs high. Sometimes arson starts to look like a reasonable alternative. I am deeply thankful to have had Michael Maerten of the Silva Group by my side running point and shouldering obstacles aside at every turn. His stable of reasonably priced contractors alone probably saved me as much as his commission. He is a consummate professional, with an ability to see problems coming down the pike and forestall them before they arise. The surprises that do get past he handles calmly. Serenity and real estate: a rare combination. What can I say and not sound like a shill? The man sold my house in a weekend. You should hire him to sell yours.

We started our search just before the pandemic and shutdowns. Once we were allowed to start going into houses again, Mike was ready with mask and hand sanitizer.
