She came to my initial appointment with her homework done already. I appreciated her advice on what should/should not fix/renovate/declutter prior to selling. Additionally, she even provided books around the process which were helpful. Going at this alone, she had my best interest, and continually let me know that she would lead me every step of the way, and she did just that. In terms of going to see new homes for myself, she was there. Made sure she looked at the important aspects, especially for a single female like me, that I had the whole picture and could make sure I would not be in over my head. I also want to say her husband, Michael, was awesome too! He stepped in a couple times when Lisa couldn't make the appointment. One thing that I thought made them "go the extra-mile" is when they calculated the costs of a huge list I gave them from the home inspection. I wanted to ensure I was paying the right amount for my house and I appreciated the crunching numbers for me and making sure I got the best deal.

Lisa and Mike not only met our expectations; they thoroughly exceeded them. Throughout our search, Lisa and Mike were incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, flexible and supportive. While I'm sure they had their own busy schedules, the service they provided was so personalized and prompt that we often felt like their only client. Lisa and Mike took the time to listen and understand our needs, sending us properties handpicked for us (in addition to the automatic MLS listings based on our search criteria that we received daily). While we thought we knew what we wanted from the beginning, as first-time home-buyers, we refined and narrowed our search as we went. We finally settled on specific neighborhoods in one particular town. Lisa and Mike were able to roll with our changes, were incredibly patient, and displayed great flexibility and knowledge of the markets in the various South Shore neighborhoods we viewed. We routinely received responses back to any questions or showing requests within hours or even minutes. Throughout our long search, there was not a single house that we were interested in that Lisa and Mike could not get us in to see, accompanied by their presence and expertise. We always felt secure that our requests were being handled because Lisa would simply reply "On it!" until she got back to us shortly thereafter with the needed information. We felt confident that, at all times, Lisa and Mike were advocating to get us into the home that we wanted. Moreover, their incredible professionalism aside, Lisa and Mike went above and beyond a mere professional relationship. They genuinely looked out for OUR best interest. For example, about two months into our search, I fell in love hard with a house. I loved the aesthetics of the house, the landscaping, and how the owners had decorated it. In short, I could see myself in the house because my tastes were so similar to that of the current owners. Appreciating my excitement, Lisa got us in to see the house at the very first opening. But once we got in to the actual house, it became clear that it was just way too small for our needs. Motivated by emotion, I still wanted to make an offer, but Lisa actually gave us her honest opinion and talked me OUT of the house. She made me see the very real problem that this property was just too small for our growing family. She pointed out that while it could fit us for now, it would absolutely NOT be the "forever" home we said we wanted at our first meeting and the home that we NEEDED going forward. In that moment, we knew that Lisa was looking out for us. She could have let us put a very competitive offer on that house. We may have even gotten it. But had that been the case, we would need to move (and need Lisa's services) again in few years. Lisa would have gotten TWO commissions out of it had she stayed silent. But in retrospect, now that I'm sitting in my bigger, more comfortable, "forever" house in the same lovely neighborhood, I realize that she was right -- and she put our needs first in reminding us -- gently, of course -- of our own best interests. Lastly, Lisa and Mike are problem solvers with a diverse network of resources to tap into. When we did finally find the house that we loved, we had an absolutely awful experience with our lender. There was no issue with our credit-worthiness or paperwork, but the bank's attorney 1) dragged their feet on preparing our purchase and sales agreement until the last minute, when our sellers were pressed for time 2) blindly passed us off from one attorney in their office to another, despite their assurances at the beginning that we could work with one specific attorney 3) lacked attention to detail and made mistakes on such simple (but important) details as the address of our property and 4) neither listened to nor could properly articulate responses to our questions about the purchase process and why one type of deed would be used versus another. They were condescending and rude. When my husband and I refused to proceed any further because of the unacceptable service from that office, Lisa stepped in to save the day with a recommendation of her own attorney. She coordinated with the bank to make the change-of-attorneys happen at no cost to us and within our tight timeline. She truly was the hero in all of this and her recommended attorney truly rose to the occasion in salvaging our deal.We would absolutely, wholeheartedly, recommend Team Garner to family and friends. We honestly can't thank them enough and would gladly speak to any of you further about their service.

And, to make the sale happen, Lisa and Michael used their own time and money to make a small repair to the property so the bank would approve the loan.Since purchasing our home, we have gone back to Lisa for advice on a few potential improvements we were considering making and in helping us vet tenants for the rental unit on the property.Lisa is always a consummate professional (even when dealing with amateurs) and has a fabulous knowledge and understanding of the market.
