ZillowVERIFIED We found Mike via one of his on-line marketing pieces. We invited him over to discuss selling and purchasing, because we instantly recognized that he knew the area very well.From the first meeting, Mike was very friendly, professional, and most of all genuine.In a poor market, Mike was not giving us a dog and pony show. He didn't make up things he thought we wanted to hear. We learned that Mike is a highly motivated and extremely trustworthy individual.To be honest, our sale was a small house and not going to earn him a large commission, but he treated us like VIPs. He was available by phone and in person whenever we needed him.He suggested some inexpensive home improvements that we could make while we were in the planning phase. Once we put our home on the market, activity was brisk. Mike sold our home in just FOUR days.The next challenge was to find an upgrade property at a reasonable price. I remember my boss telling me that I'd never find everything that I wanted in one home. Especially in the geographic area we were looking.We aggressively used Mike's online resources to seek out homes we wanted to see. We must've visited 30-some homes with Mike's team.In the end - we knew that Mike searching high and low for us because he sent us a personal link to a property that he thought was perfect, and we needed to see together immediately.We visited that home twice that evening, and I'm happy to be writing this recommendation from my new office in that very home.We had a few months in-between closings, and once again, Mike made sure we were not on our own. He found a extremely reasonable rental property large enough to comfortably live in with our dog and 2 semis of items moving from the previous house.We continue to be very good friends with Mike. He is an innovator, motivator, and pillar in our community. We have referred several of our friends to him and his team.Another thing worth mentioning is Mike has a contact for everything. We've used contractors, attorneys, loan officers etc... etc... all though Mike's recommendations, and they've ALL been excellent people.Mike is a rare diamond in the industry - with a heart of gold and a brain of platinum.It is without hesitation that I give the highest recommendation to Mike and the Lafido team!

ZillowVERIFIED We listed our home with Mike LaFido and his team in 2011. Mike talks a big talk and has come to believe his own press. This unfortunately has put his head in the clouds somewhere because he is now too important to even speak with his clients once he has listed them. When you call his cell phone he suggests you text him for a faster response. It should say for any response since he rarely if ever returns phone calls. Mike did a great job at marketing our property. He dropped the ball big time when someone was interested after a showing. At one point we had two buyers who claimed high interest but weren't making an offer. To see how serious they were we offered them our property at a very competitive price. One of the two was serious and came through for another look. Afterward their completed survey said the property mostly met their needs, it was in excellent condition and they were more interested in our property than others. Their last comment was " Clients are thinking about next steps. Very nice home, which they like a lot. Not sure about value, given sales data in Bartlett." Meaning they weren't sure how much to offer given the lack of sales in this category over the pasts 24 months. What did Mike LaFido do? He sent his office girl to try to help the client. She called to ask me if I remembered the property that had sold in our area that was close to our price. Anyone knows you can go to any real estate MLS site and run a sold report to get that information. Mike never got involved. Needless to say this never went any further. Just like others in the past that had high interest but were never followed up on. Unless you're selling way below market value, Mike LaFido and his weak team are not the ones to go with.
