About Melissa Summers

Hi! My name is Melissa Summers, and I am a native East Texan who was born and raised right here in the "Pineywoods" of Panola County. I am the Broker & Owner of Country Roots Realty, and I work full time as a real estate agent around Panola, Shelby, and Rusk County as well as all the neighboring communities. I am dedicated to helping sellers or buyers with all of their real estate needs. I have a wonderfully supportive husband whom I have been married to for 25+ years, and we have two beautiful children, a lovely daughter-in-law, a hard-working son-in-law, and the sweetest grandbaby ever. I am the wife and mom of US Marines, so there has always been a special place in my heart for helping our veterans. I genuinely love working with farms, raw land, and all of our rural properties here. We also run a small farm which consists of horses, pigs, chickens, dogs, a loud goose and one lazy cat. I strongly believe that continued education is a must beyond the minimum requirements, and I can only do the best job for my clients, if I stay on top of all of the evolving aspects of my profession. I love to work in my flower beds, trail ride with our horses, and go to garage sales/flea markets.

FAMILY

We have two children, a daughter-in-law and son-in-law who we have absolutely taken both as our own, and one sweetest little grandbaby. :)

Melissa helped us buy a rural property in May and we are so glad we picked her as our agent. In every respect she was outstanding - knowledge, responsiveness, communication and willingness to go the extra mile. For example, we were out of town buyers so Melissa helped arrange local contractors for inspections and estimates for various repairs. In order to help resolve an issue with the listing agent/seller while we were traveling (1000mi) to view the property, she even responded at night even though she was out of town at a church function.
