She came to our home to do an evaluation for our possibly selling . We were impressed and when it became time to sell our much loved, but too large home we chose her.She used sales techniques we had never seen before. She narrated a walk through the house on YouTube . A drone flew over the property during peak fall colors. She had photos done at different times of the day and evening to show the house in different light. Because of her efforts (and a very active market) we had four offers in 6 days.

We purchased a home in the NY Capital Region near the end of 2019 with Melissa. Throughout the buying process she was very communicative and patient as we searched for just the right house. She is careful to educate us about the area, which was important for us as we were buying from out of state. She worked to learn our needs and desires and was constantly able to help us steer our search in the right direction. She provided an excellent list of local providers to assist with the inspection and buying process, all of her recommendations were professional and drama free. She is a bright and cheerful person, a consummate professional, very knowledgeable about residential real estate in the greater Capital District area and she sticks with what can be a frustrating process until there is a good result. We met Melissa Matey as the agent for a condominium we looked at early in the house-hunting process. Based on that encounter, we asked her to act for us as we carried on the search. This was a very good decision, in several ways. It took eight months to find the right place, including two deals that fell apart. Throughout the process, Melissa was always "on it". She suggested properties, followed up on our own discoveries, was always available on short notice to go see something with us. During this long process, Melissa maintained the correct professional approach -- she would provide guidance and advice when asked for, but was careful not to let her own views color the process.
