Once I found the right property, their efficiency really became apparent. They have an extensive network of contractors, and other professionals, and they were able to coordinate everything incredibly quickly and keep the transaction moving. And I have to give a special honorable mention to Angie, who became my right-hand person throughout the viewing and inspection process. She was there constantly, incredibly responsive, helpful, patient, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Having her involved made a huge difference and made me feel like I always had someone in my corner. Buying my first property was a major milestone for me, and I genuinely feel that Melinda and her team worked hard on my behalf from beginning to end. ZillowVERIFIED We decided to buy a house in a sort of whirlwind time, and were actually working with another real estate agent that we werent really comfortable with... Melinda had been the realtor for a few friends of ours, and had actually spent some time on the phone with us previously when we were thinking about buying a house that didnt work out (not because of her - we decided we werent ready for that one). We decided to meet with her once, to see if we should switch -- and as soon as we met with her our decision was made! She took the time to really listen to what we wanted in a house, and even got us to think about little details that hadnt occurred to us before. She was available all the time, and had staff that would assist her if she was not, she contacted us if things came up, but also set up a regularly scheduled check in time, which I found really comforting and helpful. When it came time to actually look at the house we wanted, she showed that she had experience and attention to detail, and again - we felt really comforted and trusted her through this process. As first-time home buyers, I have to admit - we were in over our head a bit. She had recommendations for lenders, for inspectors, and even for movers! There was even a little snafu with scheduling with the other agent, and Melinda stepped in and made sure it did not impact us at all. She also did not just wash her hands of us after closing, but kept in contact and even 30 days later made a point of calling to see how we were doing. Buying a house is overwhelming, and it was so comforting to feel like we were in capable hands and could trust her. The whole experience turned out effortless, once we switched to Melinda - and I definitely recommend her to anyone I know who is looking to purchase (or sell) their home.

After looking around for quite some time, we began to get discouraged due to our budget constraints, and VA loan limitations. In all honesty, we really didnt think wed be homeowners in California. When we met Melinda, she explained how her team operates, asked us about our needs and preferences, and said she would be in contact the following day with properties to look at. I couldnt possibly imagine she would actually have properties that met our requirements in 24 hours, but she did! We looked at three properties in one day, and really felt drawn to the first property. When Melinda asked if we wanted to make an offer, we said yes, thinking this will take some time and patience on both ends. However, an offer was written up (even a counter) the same evening, and by the next day our offer was accepted. It took a total of 3 days to get the ball rolling on our new condo, and I am still in shock at how fast this all happened. She was actually our second realtor, and while this was our first-time buying, it was not our first time going through the entire process.Instead of providing the long, drawn-out account of what happened, I will just say that our first realtor turned out to be such a problem that, after spending hundreds of dollars on an appraisal and home inspections, as well as lots of time, including personal time off from work, my wife and I backed out of closing after getting very close. As I mentioned there are a lot of details that would cause this review to be the length of a novel if I elaborated, but the root cause of most of the issues was that our first realtor would not address any of our concerns. He would repeatedly tell us things like believe me, the seller wont do that or you wont get that.. Ive been in the business for long enough to know better than you. He was condescending and treated us like we were lucky to have him for a realtor. He talked a big game, and how he had sold so many properties in Redondo and Manhattan Beach, but when it came to doing anything of value for us, as buyers, he would treat my wife and I like we were asking for too much and naive. That all happened in early 2010.The first experience was so negative that my wife and I wanted to just try to buy on our own. We began doing a lot of personal research, going on tours with Redfin tours and learning as much as we could. Unfortunately, like so many others at the same stage of life as my wife and I work full time and go to school, so we really didnt have enough time and it was very exhausting. Finding Melinda was not only a huge help, it was refreshing breath of fresh air. Working with her was 180 degrees opposite of our experience with the first realtor. We are so glad we found her, and plan to use her services again if we ever buy in Southern California. More importantly, we give our whole-hearted endorsement of her professionalism and expertise.

But she helped me find a lender last minute, helped me through the escrow process and even helped after my property was closed. She refered me to a contractor, and she listened to me venting about an awful property manager and offered her assistance in getting a hold of them. She cares about her clients and you really get the feeling she is always in your side. I would definitely recomend her to anyone.

ZillowVERIFIED We spoke with several agents before listing with Melinda. I was fortunate to know her personally, and now feel fortunate financially as well! The other agents we spoke with advised us to list our home at about 25k less than what we ended up getting for it. That felt wrong to me, and Melinda agreed. Under her advisement, we had multiple offers within 4 days of listing at a highter asking price. She made excellent suggestions for sprucing up the property and helped us choose the most cost-effective improvements. For full review purposes I would have to say that my only issue with Melinda was not actually her fault. The company she had place our front yard sale sign listed the incorrect phone number on the sign, possibly costing us more offers. Not Melindas fault, and I believe she fired them after that. That was the single fly in the ointment, so a pretty tiny drawback when all is said and done. Because how can you say no to $25K more than the others promised!!! Thanks Melinda!!
