I'm Melanie York, your no-BS Realtor® with Southern Heart Realty. I'm not here to sugarcoat the market or tell you what you want to hear--I'm here to get you from "thinking about it" to "handing over the keys" without losing your mind (or your Coke Zero). I didn't grow up dreaming of MLS sheets and lockboxes--I spent over a decade in education before trading lesson plans for contracts. Turns out, classroom patience and wrangling teenagers prepared me perfectly for dealing with lenders, inspectors, and the occasional dramatic buyer or seller. I've worked with just about everybody--first-time buyers terrified of signing anything, sellers who swore they'd "never move again," investors who know exactly what they want, and families bursting at the seams who just need more space. No matter the situation, I'm all in. When I'm not showing houses or negotiating deals, I'm a wife, a mom of two teenagers (send caffeine and prayers), and a proud Randolph County local. My favorite moments are watching my kids do what they love--whether that's on the field, at practice, or chasing their next big goal. Add in family camping trips, Friday night football games, and George (our spoiled Basenji who basically runs the house), and that's my life outside of real estate. If you're after a Realtor who's polished and scripted, I'm not your girl. But if you want someone real, local, and willing to fight for you like family--well, hi, nice to meet you.
