A couple of years ago my daughter was looking for a home and hired Melanie Tinsley to act as her agent. I tagged along (at my daughters request) whenever Melanie showed her a home... after home, after homeaEUR|. for months. This wasnt to be an especially high value sale and Melanies patience amazed me. In fact, it seemed like the biggest reward for her would be to see my daughter happy with a new home. Indeed, Melanie beamed when my daughter FINALLY settled on and closed the deal on a home. I was so impressed (indeed grateful) for how Melanie helped my daughter that sometime later, when I needed a buyers agent, I called Melanie. I bought a home but this sale had a distinctly different flavor. I knew almost exactly the property I wanted and I wanted to move FAST. Melanie slowed me down a time or two when I wanted to rush to actions detrimental to my own position and for that I am eternally grateful. She knew, though, how badly and quickly I wanted to make a deal and acted with an urgency matching my own. She didnt cut corners, and I know she worked long and hard. She found comparable sales in a very short time, some rather obscure, that likely saved me tens of thousands of dollars. Ive described 2 dramatically different transactions from a realtors perspective. One thing, though, was exactly the same. That was the delight on Melanies face when she knew her buyer was happy. I'm approximately as old as dirt and Ive bought and sold more real estate than most. As a buyer Ive never felt more that my agent kept my interest front and center. Most have seemed primarily interested in making a sale and in that respect seemed more to be working in the sellers (or their own) interest. Thats not the experience we had with Melanie and there was ample evidence that she was working exclusively on our behalf. Give Melanie a call. Melanies Referral: We recently moved to WA from Hawaii and started working with Melanie virtually from the island (she came highly recommended from a friend who lives locally). She didnt miss a beat with the time zone change and juggling our work schedules. Melanie was our realtor who got us into our home this past month. She was referred to us by friends and we had a wonderful time working with her.
