FAQ
The first step is to reach out to your real estate agent for a referral to lenders. You will want to contact a lender to get qualified and find out how much you can purchase. The last thing that you want to happen is that you fall in love with a home that is out of your price range. That is heart breaking! Secondly, you want to keep your debt to income ratio intact. Don't purchase anything that will show up on your credit report like a car, furniture or using your credit cards. This could change what you qualify for or even disqualify you for a loan altogether. Debt to income ratio is a real thing! Call me for advice, I'm well versed in this topic and can help you navigate the buying process!
Don't do any upgrades until your agent has done a walk through. Some upgrades may be worth the money and help the saleability of your home but some just aren't worth it. Don't spend more than you need to. Reach out to me and I will be happy to help you determine what needs to be done and I can provide a handy checklist of the most important items that need to be done before selling!
I have worked with first time buyers, move up buyers, downsize buyers, move up sellers, downsize sellers, relocating buyers and sellers, senior citizens that need to sell to move into assisted living and investors purchasing homes to rent out and also investors purchasing multi family properties.
It is hard to pick just one. There have been so many. I love to see the smiles when the transaction is done and the relief that they made it through and knowing that I helped them with such an important transaction.
In 2001, we were notified that we would be laid off of our jobs within 6 months. I had just put in an offer on a home and my agent suggested that I go into real estate. She was absolutely certain that my personality would be a fit for the industry and that I would succeed. She was right! I love it!
My years of experience is what I am most proud of and know that I can help anyone who comes my way. I also have a Bachelor's and Master's degree that I earned as an adult. I am especially proud of this because I earned these degrees while working full time and raising a family.
