ZillowVERIFIED First-time homebuyers; met Mela at an open house early in 2023 when we were brand new to the process and didn't have an agent yet. We had no idea how to go about anything. She really understood our needs, budget, vision, etc and never tried to get us to spend more than we were comfortable spending or rush into a sale on a house we didn't love. She was very transparent about our low odds on houses that we were unlikely to get based on our offer, which we really appreciated; she never instilled a false sense of hope. We were in constant communication and she respected our wishes when we put the house hunt on hold last summer when we realized there wasn't much inventory within our budget. We had an older house that needed some touch ups before we sold it and she offered great advice on where to spend a few dollars to get the most bang for our buck. We had requests for 15+ showings over just a few days and she managed the process very well. Mela offered great advice through the negotiations and got us a great price for our house. She was great on the buy side as well. She helped to show us houses that fit our price range and "must haves" without forcing anything on us.
