Seasoned buyers as well as first time buyers should shop around for a local Realtor who can become the buyer’s trusted advisor. Such a Realtor can assist with educating buyers about the local housing market, issues unique to the area that need to be considered during the property search and purchase, and who has a good network of home inspectors, and other vendors. The housing market today is highly competitive, particularly for first time homebuyers, so it is important to be ready to make an offer once you have found the property that works for you. Being prepared should include having a lender’s pre-qualification letter or proof of funds; and a budget for your purchase, which includes additional funds for home and other necessary inspections, as well as closing costs

Sellers should interview several local Realtors to determine the best “fit” to become the seller’s trusted advisor and the Realtor who will always keep the seller’s best interest at the forefront of contract negotiations and throughout the escrow process. And, whomever a seller chooses, that Realtor should have a solid knowledge of the local market; have a team of professionals that can prepare the home for market, including photographers, stagers, gardeners/landscapers, contractors, and debris clean up and hauling; and is a Realtor with a strategic marketing plan created especially for the seller’s property.

I have worked with first time homebuyers; buyers looking to downsize or upsize; buyers looking for a second home; buyers wanting to purchase vacant land to build a home; as well as cash buyers and those who are financing their purchase.

My most recent transactions which I am particularly proud and fond of have been working with first time home buyers, with young families, to guide them to finding their perfect first home. Guiding these first time home buyers through the home buying process — from touring various types of homes; helping them to manage expectations; guiding them through contract negotiations; and helping them through the escrow process to closing— was highly rewarding for me because I played an important part in providing theses families with stability and with helping them onto the path toward personal wealth.

I have always had an interest in real estate and decided that when I retired from my law practice that I would take up being a Realtor as a second career.

I am a retired attorney with years of experience in working with clients to help them solve problems and achieve their goals. I know how to negotiate on behalf of my clients and to always keep the best interests of my clients at the forefront of all aspects of a transaction. Since becoming a Realtor, I have obtained specialized education in trust and probate real estates sales, and have successfully completed the National Association of Realtors Commitment to Excellence program (C2EX).
