She got a good sense of what we were looking for and showed us a lot of good options, and it was fun bringing our 7 month old along for all the tours too. She was very communicative and scheduled around our schedule. Amy actually showed us a house on the July 4th holiday weekend so there was lower than usual competition ;) almost exactly two years ago! She was up to date with market trends (unlike other realtors we spoke to before we went with Amy). She is very honest and she doesnt try to sell you anything. We walk into a house and she points out everything she notices (good & bad). We were looking in Livermore, Castro Valley, and Hayward hills and she was very knowledgable when it comes to neighborhoods, schools, and more. She is very friendly and punctual. Once we were ready to put in an offer, Max stepped in and walked us through the entire contract on the phone which was very helpful to us as first time home buyers.The entire process was very smooth with Amy and Max, we highly recommend them.

Max Devries was one of the few realtors I reached out through a recommendation service, and to be completely honest, the reason I went with Max was because he was the first to respond to my inquiry. But having lived in my new condo for close to half a year now, I am really glad I went with Max Devries. His team was really responsive, from scheduling showings of listings, to contract negotiation (we negotiated to a little below the asking price), and to all the steps involved in the closing process (including getting the seller's agent to provide documents they were slow in providing).I would recommend (without any reservation) Max and his team to anyone looking to buy a home in the Bay Area.

We were looking for a realtor who was personable, knowledgeable, and listened to our needs and wants. We met Amy and I immediately knew she was our realtor. She really understood our struggle. She explained her process of getting to know us and what we were looking for in a house. She found a house we could afford, but, unfortunately, an investor was also interested. Amy didnt stop there. Trust them and know that they work in your best interest.We were first time home buyers, fairly young and inexperienced. We didn't even know what we were looking for or what we wanted. Amy was so patient and showed us so many homes (even though she knew right away what we wanted after we spoke for the first time; we actually ended up buying our home in the same community she had suggested in the very beginning!), she educated us and answered all our questions with so much detail. ZillowVERIFIED We have sold other homes before with other agents, but have never seen the level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the utmost in care when regarding presentation and promotion of a home until we met and worked with Max. Now we're spoiled and never want to work with another realtor except for Max! Certainly we will give him the highest recommendation to any of our family and friends because Max simplified the process by overseeing all the details and lining everything up for us. While other realtors might get away with doing basic things with mediocre quality, Max was always surprising us by going above and beyond the usual realtor tasks, and doing everything with such superb quality! He is very prompt to reply to any text, email, or phone call - always ready and willing to answer any question or concern you may have. Even beyond those practical details, what was most touching about Max is that he really considered our unique personal situation and put our needs above his own interests. More specifically, when he knew that we would be stretching and struggling to buy again in the Bay Area, he recommended that we look into a cheaper market on the east coast. This is something he knew we were already considering as an option, but just needed encouragement of whether to stay or go. He had nothing to gain by pointing us away from his selling market! He could have easily influenced us towards a situation that would benefit him here in California, but clearly he cares about people first, and ultimately what situation they will be most happy with.Five stars is not enough to rate Max in these categories.
