ZillowVERIFIEDMaureen represented us as buyers for a condo on Hilton Head Island. We purchased it to have a short term rental and personal vacation spot. She met us throughout our week there and took us to a number of properties so we could figure out which neighborhoods/plantations we liked. We were able to negotiate the price down to assist us in the updates it required. Maureen helped us through that process and we were able to achieve the pricepoint we went in at after a couple rounds of discussions. In addition, Maureen has stayed in contact after the sale, has been actively a supporter of our unit as we introduced it to the short-term rental market and has helped us spread the word to those looking for a great place to stay. I would highly recommend Maureen, her responsiveness and drive to get the job done were greatly appreciated.

ZillowVERIFIED Great job finding a home that met our needs, including space for sewing and storing a lot of fabric. The market was tough with low inventory but Maureen was able to find exactly what we need. Responsive, respectful and very knowledgeable. We would work with Maureen again if we were to sell or buy a home in the future.

ZillowVERIFIED Maureen did a fantastic job of finding exactly what we wanted in a home. Her follow up after the contract was signed was second to none. Every detail was thoroughly covered to make sure there were no surprises at closing. If you are shopping for a home in Hilton Head, I highly reccomend her!

ZillowVERIFIED We met Maureen when we made the decision to retire to Hilton Head South Carolina from Maryland. We explained to Maureen what our expectations were for retiring here -- smaller home, things to do, friendly neighbors and in reasonable proximity to the beach. The first time we met with her, she gave us a tour of the area and we looked at homes in different neighborhoods of the Bluffton area. She was very knowledgeable of the area and pointed out pros and cons of the neighborhood and the houses we looked at. After researching Sun City, we decided that's where we wanted to be. Maureen connected us to her website and would send us pictures and information on houses that fit our criteria. We then made another trip to Bluffton and Maureen had scheduled several houses for us to look at. When we finally found the house we wanted, she started the necessary paperwork, connected us to finance people and a lawyer for the closing. She kept us informed each step of the way. She was always professional, respectful and very patient with us along the way, especially since we were dealing with a difficult seller. Since we were moving to SC from MD, Maureen was very helpful in putting us in touch with insurance companies, cable providers, electric company, etc. We settled on our house the end of May 2015 and Maureen has continued to keep in touch with us. She is a down-to-earth, friendly, helpful person, and, someone we hope we'll be friends with for a long time. We highly recommend her whether you're buying or selling -- you won't be disappointed.

ZillowVERIFIED If you are thinking about buying a house call Maureen immediately! My boyfriend and I moved from the Midwest for work. We only had one day to come down to South Carolina to look at houses and Maureen was there for us! We had an idea about what we wanted and Maureen showed us some great options. She showed us some properties that we had found online but we wound up not loving them. She gave us some advice about the area and we wound up seeing something we liked and making an offer that day. Maureen was there through the whole process with both professional advice and moral support. We could not have gone through the process long distance without her. She is organized and professional, has a lot of knowledge of the area and was quick with a reply to all of our questions.

ZillowVERIFIED Having lived and worked on Hilton Head Island for many years, Maureen is very knowledgeable in the real estate market. She is very down to earth, honest, and easy to work with. Her attention to our specific needs and desires made our purchase of a property on the beach in 2011 a smooth transaction. I highly recommend Maureen to anyone interested in purchasing property in Hilton Head.

ZillowVERIFIED We worked with Maureen for over a year, as we searched and then relocated down here from the midwest. It was great to have an agent that was willing to go the extra mile, and take pictures of new properties that we were not able to see ourselfs. We also liked the fact that she knew all about the island, and shared many great references for companies and services in the area. Overall, Maureen is a an energetic and happy agent that will help you find your new home!

ZillowVERIFIED Very talented and sympatico agent. I decided not to buy anything at Hilton Head, but if I had, I would certainly have asked Maureen to help. Unfortunately, this review does not provide a n.a. for skills that I was unable to observe, like negotiation and process expertise. But based on her immense knowledge pf properties and responsiveness, I saw no reason to give a lower grade for the other two.

ZillowVERIFIED I met with Maureen twice and on my second visit was a very serious buyer. After looking at about a dozen places, Maureen looked at me and said, "I think I have exactly what you want but it is not what you asked me to look for so just humor me..." I signed a contract on my family's dream home that day and did not even know I was looking for it. Maureen listened to my little comments along the way, she was honest about the good, bad and uglies of each place we looked at and then, steered me to the place I did not even know I was looking for. My family just loves our precious new home. Maureen also referred me to excellent and reliable resources to perform work while I was in another state. I am very thankful for the talent Maureen has to listen and make a perfect fit for me and my family...

ZillowVERIFIED My husband and I really enjoyed working with Maureen. She is extremely knowledgeable about the Bluffton/Hilton Head area. She really understood what we were looking for and showed us a wide range of properties that fit our needs. She was a joy to tour homes with, was very responsive and patient! We have been in our new home in Bluffton for almost two years now and we know it is absolutely the right place for us. Maureen helped make that happen.

ZillowVERIFIED We found Maureen from an Internet ad and were thinking about moving across the country yet weren't sure if we really wanted to do this since we didn't know a soul living here. After meeting Maureen we felt comfortable with our decision. Not only was she invaluable to us with settling in as far as recommendations and helpfulness, but she became a friend in the process, inviting us to her home and introducing us to her friends. One can always find people to do business with. Yet doing business with people that you enjoy enough to become friends with is a rarity. Maureen is that type of person - someone who is a pleasure to do business with.

ZillowVERIFIED I have purchased several houses from Maureen Houston and she did a super job. She did her homework with detailed advantages and disadvantages of each house, presented comps, and listed all of the particulars of each property. Maureen was always curteous, professional, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Maureen to anyone looking to purchase real estate in the hIlton and Bluffton areas.

ZillowVERIFIED Maureen is the best realtor I have ever worked with. She went above and beyond the call of duty showing us around 20 houses, negotiating a price and following through on all the hassles of the financing. A very nice lady and fun to work with.
