We found Matt by accident, by using Zillow's "contact the realtor for this property" feature, one morning. He called me within five minutes, we exchanged a few words about our intentions, then decided to schedule a tour of the home. His assistant, Riley, called within three minutes to set up the date and time. We saw that house later that afternoon. On that tour, two things became clear: the house was not for us, and Matt is an excellent broker. To keep things brief: Matt is knowledgeable, talented, personable, patient, kind, helpful, honest, punctual, hardworking, and shrewd. Each of these adjectives also applies to Riley, in her own domain. They're a great team. To say a bit more: mys husband and I came into the process lamenting the fact that using a realtor is all but necessary and came out of the process feeling that our lives were enriched by having the chance to work with Matt and Riley. These two made a genuine and tactful effort to understand us as people, which resulted in our finding a home we wouldn't have even considered, but deeply love. It's worth mentioning that even though the home we bought is not a $1M home, we didn't even once get the impression that we were valued less than others of his clients. It's also worth mentioning that any parts of the process that we had perceived as necessarily painful -- for example, endless paperwork -- were made, well, literally enjoyable. It's trite to say, but it's true: I cannot recommend Matt highly enough.

ZillowVERIFIED My fiancA(C)e and I worked with The Matt Rhine Group to recently buy a house. As first-time homebuyers, we were unfamiliar with the process and still figuring out what exactly we wanted in a home. Matt helped us with both of these things over the course of about three months. He held an initial meeting with us to learn about the areas that we were interested in living in and set us up on an MLS. He also connected us with a mortgage lender so that we could see what we could afford. From there, Matt was very flexible and willing to show us properties that we found on the MLS. In total, Matt visited 10 to 20 properties with us before we found the one that we ultimately bought. During these visits, Matt readily answered questions that we had about the properties themselves and the areas as well as called our attention to other things that we would not have noticed on our own. Once we found the property that we wanted to buy, we primarily worked with Matts operations manager, Riley. Riley was very organized and attentive, making the steps toward closing on the house easy for us. Like Matt, she was also very responsive whenever we had questions. If my fiancA(C)e and I are ever looking to buy another house in the future, we would definitely consider working with The Matt Rhine Group again. We would also recommend it to anyone looking to buy a home.

ZillowVERIFIED It is my pleasure to recommend Matt Rhine who recently helped us sell our home in the Cheswolde neighborhood of Baltimore and helped us buy a new townhome in Owings Mills. We first engaged Matt in January of 2018 to help us buy a townhome in Owings Mills. With very little notice, I asked Matt to meet us at the Ryan Homes new construction site which he did. In addition, he lined up similar sites for us to review and compare. Matt patiently took us through each site even though it was late on a Friday afternoon. When we decided we wanted to go with Ryan Homes, Matt contacted them and secured additional incentives for us even though the deadline had passed. Specifically, we did not have to pay closing costs and got an extension on the townhome. At the same time, Matt advised us how to prepare our home to put on the market. We followed his advice and used his contractors who were all professional, efficient and inexpensive. It took us very little time to prepare the home thanks to Matts guidance. Matt did a comprehensive analysis of the area and comparable houses to know the range of how much we could reasonably expect to get for our home without undercutting us and made recommendations as to how we could enhance our home before it went to market to maximize the sale price. He then had a 2 week "coming soon" period mixed with extensive advertising and open house. In short, he sold our home within 4 days of listing it. We had previously engaged 3 other realtors to sell our home and they all failed to do what Matt accomplished in 4 days. The construction on our new home was delayed significantly, but Matt was able to negotiate with the buyer an extension of their closing date on our home along with a 2 month rent back which prevented us from having to move twice. Before closing on the sale of our home, Matt reviewed the closing documents and found a $5000 error on the part of the title company which we probably would not have found. Due to the delay of the construction of our home, we have been working with Matt for almost 8 months. He has been completely professional and supportive throughout. The realtor representing our buyers was completely incompetent and rude. Matt always remained professional and calm in his dealings with her. He was a total gentleman throughout these long months. He clearly has the experience and a great personality to deal with all sorts of situations and came through for us at every stage of the sale. I have already recommended Matt to several friends and colleagues. I highly recommend using Matt Rhine and I certainly will engage him again if I need to buy or sell property in the future.
