This 2020-2021 market has been a nightmare to shop in, but every step of the way, Matt's advice and feedback was honest. He's not the type to pressure or pry, and his personality is very relaxed and laidback until it's time to bid on a home. Once that time comes, he says it's "pulling the five alarm fire" and it's all systems go. He's efficient and effective and communicative. I would absolutely recommend anyone to work with him. ZillowVERIFIED Matt has been our Realtor for six residential real estate transactions in the last seven years, between 2014 and 2021: we bought and sold two rental properties, sold our residence, and bought hunting land, all with Matt's representation. Most recently, we had a house on AirBnB that we wanted to sell but thought we needed to wait until after all of our current rentals were complete before we put it on the market. However, Matt convinced us that we could go ahead and list the house while we still had a full rental calendar without disrupting any renters. He was able to sell the house in a three day window between rentals by advertising before the house could be shown, and having professional photographs with a video online so people could view the house when it wasn't available. By going under contract before our rentals ended, our carrying costs on the house without it being rented were greatly reduced.I think one of the main characteristics that we appreciated about Matt is that he always listened to what we wanted. He never gave an opinion without our asking, and he always asked our thoughts so he could get a sense of what we wanted or needed. While selling or buying a home is an exciting and happy experience, it can also be stressful and emotional. Matt's calm, affirming and responsive demeanor was much needed (and appreciated) at various times during our transactions. Another characteristic that we appreciated was Matt's responsiveness to phone calls and emails. We never had to worry about waiting to hear back from Matt. He always got back to us quickly, even when he happened to be out of town for the weekend, and often returned emails late at night when we had emailed him earlier that evening. This demonstrates his strong work ethic. Matt also demonstrated extensive knowledge of the real estate market, zoning issues, and city regulations. He was always professional, personable, and dependable. With the number of realtors looking for business, we certainly had many options if we were anything less than totally satisfied with Matt's services. Luckily, that was never our experience. ZillowVERIFIED In a tight market, you need a realtor with a firm grasp of the current, real-time housing market (as well as its history). You also need a realtor who's capable of executing a bidding strategy that leads to offer acceptance. We got just that with Matt and remain grateful to this day that he somehow managed to get the house that was "love at first sight" for us. The other issue with a tight market is that as a buyer, "neurotic" becomes a primary personality trait. Matt's ability to guide us through the process with a cool confidence was very much needed. We knew we were in good hands and that was proven when our initial offer was accepted thanks to Matt's offer strategy. It was a multiple offer scenario and Matt was adept at keeping us grounded and ensuring that we didn't over-spend or over-commit. His approach secured us the house without over-spending (which is not a particularly easy thing to pull off these days). Matt is extremely knowledgeable, moves fast (kept up with our pace no problem), has/gets answers to questions quickly. Most realtor's cant see past the current paint color on the wall. Matt has vision and can envision different layouts and formats for an existing space. He can see walls in different places and add to the creative interior design process. He was on top of every detail and was very responsive to my calls and texts even when he was in a meeting and I was concerned I might lose the house I had made an offer on. Another person made an offer on the same home add Matt was instrumental in discussing it with me and help negotiate the counter offer and I got the house!
