He went with me to a ton of properties over many weekends until I finally found a place I loved. The sellers were difficult and the deal looked like it was going to fall through at multiple points, but Matt always had a new strategy to try. All the while, he took the time to explain complex real estate questions (sometimes multiple times when I was still confused) and he referred me to a lender that saved me a LOT of money over the one I found through my own research. I'm no big time client - I might even be considered small potatoes in this real estate market. Didn't matter, Matt was great!

ZillowVERIFIED Matt approached me from a "Make Me Move" listing which I posted on Zillow. What made Matt stand out from the other FIFTY realtors who approached me from Zillow was his continued interest over a 6 month period of time, "gently" checking in with me from time to time, offering to help when needed. Most of the other realtors where "here today and gone tomorrow". Furthermore, this was a distressed property and not a typical candidate for market analysis, photos, brochures and open houses. Matt was neither negative nor deterred from this type of listing. In fact, he was enthusiastic! With his strategy, we had a good offer within four days and closing within 2 weeks of listing. He pushed the buyer through escrow and rode this sale to the finish line. What stands out for me is that I felt Matt was truly on my side. I would use Matt's services again and I highly recommend Matt!

The first tenant was there for 3 years and only moved out because his fathers health was failing. The most recent tenants have been there a little over a year and are great people. Matthew not only got top dollar for my unit but each time it became available it was only on the market for a few days, he got it rented quickly! Matthew has earned my total confidence, he does a thorough screening/background check and gets solid people in. He manages the unit and gets reliable contractors to come and provide services when needed. Thank you Matt!Although this review is about my rental, he was also the agent that got my new home in Long Beach, CA! I shared with Matthew that I was interested in purchasing a home near the beach in a safe neighborhood and he suggested Long Beach, CA., specifically around Cal State Long Beach University. We met at his office and he showed me a variety of homes that not only looked to be in great neighborhoods but fit my budget. Within a couple of days he had scheduled a Saturday for us to look at 5 homes in the Cal State Long Beach area. After a busy day of house viewing and driving through some wonderful neighborhoods I really fell in love with Long Beach. Not all of the homes we looked at fit my wants but knew that this was where I wanted to live. We started to head to the freeway to go home when Matthew said hold on I have one more place that sounds to be closer to what it is you're looking for. It just so happened that there was an open house going on at that property so we stopped in. Matthew asked if I was interested, I said absolutely! Matthew spoke with the agent, was told the asking price, we talked, he immediately went and made a lower offer, surprisingly the agent agreed to the amount. Matthew wrote up an official offer when he got back to his office, sent it to the agent and it was accepted. Matthew made the whole process absolutely trouble free, it was like buying a car. ZillowVERIFIED In all honesty, we would not use Matt again. On the up side, the property my spouse inherited did sell, but I feel the reason we got the price we got for it was because I asked him to raise it. This whole sale didn't settle well in the end as after Matt received his sale, he absolutely was not responsive as he was when he wanted to sell the property. There were post issues that really left us disappointed with him because we felt he got his deal and didn't have concern for what we thought we were his clients. If I was to review two week ago, I would have given one star, but he did overall sell the property and we can move forward. There were some unprofessional instances throughout this where I feel that if you are looking for a professional agent who is going to stick by you till even after the end of the transaction (cause some issues do tend to arise) then I would not recommend Matt. At least it wasn't a match for my spouse and I, but possibly could be for someone else.

This was my first property which was also an investment/income property so I wanted to work with someone who knew income properties well. From the beginning he got right back to me and was able to share his knowledge of the market, which gave me confidence in the decision making process that lay ahead. We then immediately started viewing properties that fit my criteria and offered value. I never felt pressured or overwhelmed by Matt but rather reassured with his follow up and constant communication. After looking for a short time Matt was able to spot an excellent value (well below my budget) on the market that we jumped on right away. His quick response time and rapport with the other agent secured us the deal early in the process, which was critical because several offers came in behind us for much more money.When it came time to perform inspections and our due diligence Matt was sure to help me get as much complete information as possible. There were some questions with the City Occupancy which he made every effort to clear and make sure we were good to move forward with before I started spending time and money. Then we had several inspectors and contractors visit the property so that the underlying issues were clearly spelled out to me. When it came to closing time he had to go out of town unexpectedly, but always arranged for the necessary paperwork and access to the property as well as being available via phone/text/email.This property was considerably under my budget and Matt went outside of the box to find me a great value, not just to find me the most expensive thing to generate a higher commission. I truly feel that he had my best interests in mind during this process. He is professional, knowledgeable, and honest....exactly the kind of qualities you would look for in a real estate agent. I would strongly recommend Matt to anyone looking to buy or sell real estate! I will be using him again for my next purchase.

ZillowVERIFIED We recently were able to close escrow on a home that we loved only because of Matt's fantastic negotiating and interpersonal skills. First, we had some issues because the sellers only wanted to allow us 10 days to remove contingencies as they were in a rush to close the escrow. Not only did the home need multiple inspections but the seller's relator was only available five days into the period. Matt was able to negotiate a longer period. Then, there were issues that arose and a verbal exchange between seller and buyer over a repair and the deal was off. Matt intervened and smoothed over the bad feelings and negotiated a very large credit for us and we were in the deal again. He always returned phone calls promptly, was on time for all meetings and made sure we completed all our paperwork, Most of all we appreciated his ability to coordinate all the pieces and keep our emotions under control. We really, really wanted this house and we are so grateful to Matt for making this happen. We have bought and sold six houses in our lifetime and by far Matt was the best realtor we have known.

ZillowVERIFIED Matt was very knowledgable about the Pasadena and East Los Angeles area. He was also very accessible to use throughout the whole process. We felt as though he had our best interest at heart. He gave us his opinion but did not give it in the sense to steer us in a certain direction. Matt's ability to communicate with his clients is exceptional. He would always let us know what was going on, what steps were next and what we could expect in the future throughout our process. When buying or selling a house I would definitely use Matt again
