I met Mary back in the summer of 2014. She came to my door telling us that she just recently sold a property above asking price in our community. I told Mary in our first meeting that we werent interested in selling our current property at the time but we would like to sell a rental property that we had in Germantown, MD. I told Mary that the rental property was currently under water and we had to wait until we paid down the mortgage to be able to sell. For years Mary and her team kept in contact to see if we were ready to sell. We finally were able to list the property in January 2022. Mary (and her crew) helped me sell my house in Gaithersburg for more than I expected. I am so glad that I chose a real human being rather than an on line service because she brought a raft of local knowledge that help me position my house to above average. Average is what the on-line bots will get you. My part was a slow processes of finishing abandon projects, getting distracted by family matters, and a large number of distractions. Mary was patient and understanding. She never pushed but she was always ready with a recommendation or suggestion that helped me decide which projects were worth the investment and which wouldnt matter. When I was finally able to focus, Mary and her team kicked into high gear and provided all the details I didnt even know I needed to know. She managed all the details. In my case, I had to leave town during the final stages of actually listing and selling. Mary regularly went by the house to keep it presentable and kept me informed along the way. Her local knowledge help me set the price and she was able to defend it with appraisers. In the end, the house sold above asking price even as the market was softening. Choosing Mary Schroth as my real estate agent was one of the best decisions Ive ever made.
