    Mary Jane is a strong salesperson and made a very positive first impression. During our initial meeting, she expressed genuine enthusiasm and commitment to helping us sell our home quickly so our family could move and be together. We were navigating a challenging situation due to a job change and out-of-state relocation, and we knew it wouldnt be easy. However, the process ended up being more difficult and frustrating than we anticipated. In hindsight, the pricing strategy may have been overly optimistic. We were advised to list our home at a price nearly $80,000 above the final sale, and our suggested compromise was also met with resistance. The unexpected market downturn in November certainly played a role, though we were surprised by how sudden the shift seemed and how unprepared we felt. Communication throughout the process was inconsistent. We encountered several clerical and spelling errors in documents, and at times felt that updates lacked detail or clarity. After a few months without much progress, we voiced our concerns and were met with defensiveness, which added strain to the relationship. There was even a moment where our personal decisions, such as frequent moves, were brought up in a way that felt unhelpful. Ultimately, we found ourselves needing to speak with her broker to move things forward, and we felt his involvement played a significant role in reaching the closing. Throughout the process, it often seemed like our interests were not being prioritized, and suggestions we made were frequently dismissed. While Mary Jane may be well-suited for certain listings, our experience highlighted a need for stronger communication, flexibility, and professionalism during more complex transactions. Weve bought and sold several homes on our own in the past, and unfortunately, this experience has led us to reconsider using an agent for future real estate needs.
