Especially, for a person like me who has worked after having long study period of time, every single penny I saved matters a lot, making a decision to buy a house is one of the biggest events in the life time. Searching for a good house with a lot of constraints is very stressful, and all the processes needed from submitting an offer to closing the house are quite burdensome. I met Mary when I just looked around open house years ago, and that's how we started this long journey. We got a lot of helps to visit houses, get opinions and comps from Mary and Azita. Especially, to people like us do not know a lot of things about housing market and paper works. We had searched houses for more than a year, and it looked like we were not going to buy any house at the end. Even though we were hesitant to buy a house Mary and Azita were very patient and explained a lot of details through multiple zoom calls and phone calls. We sometimes discontinued searching houses and got back to them as they were just there to help us. This finally helped us to get a house we want. Of course, it was not easy as everyone has different constraints and bars to evaluate the houses. And, I would say the team Mary and Azita offers very good synergy through the process of buying houses. Mary is very good at explaining details in a calm way and answers clearly what we were asking. And Azita is very good at acting fast and diligently to make something happen. We were quite picky on choosing houses and we asked them for checking houses in various areas, and the combination of these people provides quite good experience. Another thing I really liked them about is they care about the "relationship". They try to earn trust through long time and they truly have good relationships with other people offering various things needed to buy/manage houses. If you want to buy a house, but you have no idea what is going on then Mary and Azita are the right people to talk to. Review I purchased a house in March of 2023 with Wendy acting as my agent. Wendy is quite personable and is very easy to work with. This certainly helped to minimize the stress involved in finding and buying a home! Wendy was part of a team, working closely with Mary Clark. Being part of an organization had a big impact on the whole buying experience. Here are a few examples: 1) As usual, I was provided with computer generated listings of houses for sale and I would pick houses to look at. As time went on, Wendy learned what I was looking for and would suggest houses for me to look at. I ended up buying one of the "suggested" houses! One day, Wendy had a house to show me and it was just what I was looking for. I remember sitting with her after looking at the house and thinking, "If I don't buy this house, I'll never buy a house!" Wendy told me that Mary was the one who found the house (which means that Wendy made Mary aware of my preferences, which enabled her find the house). Go, team! (2) Next comes the negotiation phase, where you try to pay less than the asking price. Wendy and Mary looked at market data before deciding our offer/counter offer strategy... and the strategy worked! The buyer actually came down a little, which was a pleasant surprise for all of us. (The market data indicated that the asking price was the "right" price. We offered something lower, but not that much lower, and ended up accepting the counter-offer.) (3) When I was looking at homes, "everybody" told me not to buy at that time because both home prices and interest rates would go down. Mary and Wendy tackled the same issue, but by looking at market data. Guess what? It's now nine months later and home prices have gone up (I bought at a local minimum). Interest rates also went up, but have "plunged" recently. Even after plunging, the current rates are still higher than the rate I have. So here I am enjoying my home! I had no idea how, from Utah, I was going to handle all the inspections, evaluate what repairs were needed, hire contractors, oversee the work, navigate all Californias unfamiliar rules, and finally, what I thought was actually the realtors job, get it to market and sold. Mary got all of that done while I sat at home answering her requests for approval of each step of the process. The repair work was done quickly and well. Mary has over 20 years of experience in the Bay Area real estate market and her expertise was essential in guiding us through our first sale. She is also very knowledgeable in working with HOAs and whats involved during the sales process. After our initial meeting with her, she came up with an action plan to get our property sold to fetch the highest price in a short timeframe. She knows what upgrades will pay off, and ones that wont, so she recommended a list of upgrades that included painting, some light landscaping, replacement of some faucets and fixtures as the primary changes to engage in.
