Having an agent that is communicative is very important. Will he/she be working M-F from 9-5pm, or will they be available when you need it the most? Ask the agent if they know of any grants for closing cost or down assistance and not least, have them guide you throughout the process.

Interview at least 3 agents and see what do they offer. Tell them to show you their marketing plan, and what kind of strategies do they offer. Being a member of more than one association/MLS is adding value to you. They will market your property on different boards, exposing your property to thousand of people.
