Mark was went above and beyond, even taking care of our crazy dog for showings: when we couldnt get off work and find a solution for our dog to be out of the house. Many negotiating frustrations on both sides of the negotiating process. Mark was very attentive, responded very fast and really went to bat for us. Ive owned and lived in three homes over the years so Ive worked with several different realtors but this time was different. Remember the housing market peak in 2007? Rather than renting, thats when I happened to buy a condo in Chicago for my college student. My plan was to sell it after graduation. Graduation came, my student launched, and due to the repressed housing market I became a reluctant landlord. This year I sold the unit and walked away with a nice check. When I hired Mark he asked me to put him in contact with my tenant. Right off, he built a positive relationship with her. He met her in person to introduce himself and his associate Rob. He explained the showing/sale process and did the photo shoot. He scheduled the showings directly with her so I wasnt in the middle, for which I was grateful. He kept me in the loop with all communications. He even offered to help my tenant find another rental unit. Theres a condo association for the building which required submittal of additional documents to the association and to the buyers attorney. Mark is very knowledgeable in this area. He guided me and my attorney through the process and deadlines. The buyers financing was delayed multiple times and still hadnt been approved when closing was just days away. The tenant had moved out on schedule for the sale; I would no longer receive rent payments! Mark stepped up. He contacted both attorneys and helped get things back on track. The buyers financing got approved and the sale closed on the originally scheduled date. I was impressed with Mark's competence, professionalism, and results. It's true - he lives and works in Buena Park/Lakeview/Wrigleyville and is a tremendous professional. He brought in a steady stream of prospects and, when we saw a pattern of lowball offers in a soft market, he advised us to rent the place for a year while the market shored up. His team advertised, screened and brought in great renters, then a year later Mark jumped back in, listed and sold the condo at a much stronger price. However, once Mark took over the listing, the condo was averaging three showings a week and I ended up getting two offers on the same day just six weeks after signing the contract. ZillowVERIFIED Give Mark an address in Lakeview/Andersonville and chances are he can has been in the building, know the history of the building, and may know someone in the building. He really knows this market. Sometimes I think people "dabble" as real estate agents...but I thought Mark and his team (that's you Walker) were super professional. They came in saw what needed to be done, made their lists, and did it. Communication was also very good..which was important to me as I not in the area while my property was on the market.
