When we were in town he did not hesitate to set-up a marathon of home showings (20+ homes in two days!). Mark took note of the features we were looking for in our new home and steered us toward homes he thought would fit our family. He was extremely knowledgable of the different neighborhoods and towns we visited, but at the same time, he remained unbiased and let us get our own feel for the area.When the house we wound up buying appeared on the market, although we were not in town, Mark jumped in his car and took a video tour of the inside and outside of the house to send to us. ZillowVERIFIED Mark gave us excellent advice on how to prepare our home for sale. We followed his advice, and also had our friend come in to actually help stage a few details. Mark showed us comps for houses that sold in our area. I did some research on my own, and saw that his suggested price was accurate. He took excellent pictures and highlighted all our upgrades. He marketed it immediately and we had a bid within six days. We were very happy with the whole process and would gladly recommend his services.

Mark walked us through every step, answered every question we had and was always available for advice on the process. He made sure we marketed our house to sell professionally, and we sold within three weeks, as he predicted. And importantly we did not undersell in order to sell quickly. On the buying side, he advised us well on prices and offers, and we purchased under value. You can't go wrong with Mark and his team.

ZillowVERIFIED We were lucky enough to find Mark when our father needed to sell his house, very quickly. He had worked with several realtors over a year, who were not realistic or aggressive with pricing and marketing, and the house had not moved. Mark got right in there and things started happening. He was very knowledgeable about the market, about what the appropriate asking price should be, about what dad should do. He was also great at managing my fathers expectations, brought data to back up his suggestions and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. The house ended up going into a short sale, and Mark connected our father with a wonderful attorney, managed to find a buyer, and even knew someone to run a tag sale over two weekends to sell off the contents of the house. In this particular case he made the entire equation work. We have no qualms about saying that without Mark, its unlikely that our fathers house would have sold. We would absolutely work with Mark again and would recommend him to anyone selling or buying a house.Thanks, Mark!

ZillowVERIFIED There was not an option for our situation in the drop down menu. We were not selling our home. His assistant called to try and get me to talk to Mr Markelz about selling.I said no; it was not the right time. Fifteen minutes later, Mr Markelz called telling me he wanted to come and see my home, and I did not want that and emphasized I was not selling. I not only kept getting calls from him, I saw him outside my home in his car. It creeped us out. He did this another time and my neighbor told us her agent saw him outside. It felt like he was trying to take advantage of a difficult situation we were going through. He was pushy and it felt very stalkerish.

ZillowVERIFIED Mark Markelz both helped us buy our new home and then helped us sell the old home. In both cases Mark was attentive kind and knowledgeable. Mark has a wealth of contacts in every facet of buying and selling a home. He helped us find a Staging consultant who gave us clear and fast direction what to do to show off the best features of the home we would sell. He coached us extensively on what our market demanded and who the prospective buyers would be. Mark did extensive internet marketing to make our house known to the market. He both an agent open house and a public open house. We got an offer in the first week of showing and had a closing date within 6 weeks in a relatively hesitant real estate environment. About 10 days from the closing date, hurricane Sandy hit and our house was surrounded by Long Island Sound. Through his extensive and reliable contacts, Mark was instrumental in our ability to get workmen to quickly repair the damage and clean up the mess. We were only 11 days late with the closing. Mark stood by us the entire time and worked for us behind the scenes. Mark's humanity was also evident at our new home. During the storm seven 50 foot trees came down on the new property. Mark went out of his way to lend me his chain saw so that I could begin clearing the mess. We found Mark to be capable and caring and we highly recommend him to new clients.
