About four months ago, I was working with a different realtor, and they completely screwed up the sale of my house, losing me thousands of dollars and months of time. I fired them, called Maria, let her know what happened, and she immediately set to work turning things around. Just over a week later, I accepted a 10k-over-asking-price offer on the house. The sale closed two days ago and I could not be happier with the service Maria gave me. In addition for being a fearless and hard-nosed negotiator, she is friendly, funny, approachable, flexible, and results oriented. Whenever I got stressed by the million and one details that are involved in selling a house, Maria always had a way to calm things down, either giving me practical advice to take care of things myself, or simply doing them for me. She may be a single independent realtor, but she gave me infinitely better service than the six-person team that I tried first. I also like the fact that shes local. We know the same people, we shop in the same stores, eat in the same restaurants, laugh about the same town characters. Its like having an old friend sell your house for you (minus all the hassles that could go with that), and I have a feeling that she will become an old friend in years to come!
