ZillowVERIFIEDI could not have been happier. Maria is knowledgeable, responsive, friendly and very well connected to the community. She really 'got' what I was looking for and there was no pressure to settle for something I didn't want. In addition to helping me purchase my house, she helped connected me to people who could do the work that was needed afterward. I can't recommend her highly enough. She and her husband own the business together and he was also very helpful,as was the office staff. Yes, Yes, Yes.

ZillowVERIFIED Maria was a pleasure to work with. She knew the area very well and was able to get us into lots of houses on short notice. When it came time to make an offer and negotiate, she handled the process perfectly, resulting in an accepted, below market offer!

I'm a first time home buyer so I was clueless on most of the home buying process. That being said, Maria was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the entire process that I knew I was in the best hands! She took the time to help me do virtual walk throughs and was willing to answer any questions I had about the unit or the complex. I appreciated and valued everything she said, and in the end it helped me to buy my perfect home! Can't recommend enough!

ZillowVERIFIED Chris Skrip was a great resource and very knowledgeable about the local real estate market. Chris was able to answer all of our questions about moving to a new area and point us to homes that best fit the culture and feel that we were looking for. He was a fountain of knowledge about all Beaufort has to offer - restaurants, vibe, events and answered any questions quickly, with detail that only a local would have! Highly recommend!

ZillowVERIFIED Maria was a pleasure. She was always upbeat and positive. She went out of her way to accommodate us. Her knowledge of the real estate market was a tremendous help. She listened to our concerns and found houses that met those concerns. She was very tactful and gracious in correcting us when we were mistaken. After looking for several months in the area we thought we wanted and not finding an affordable option, she suggested we look in an area we had never heard of. And low and behold, that is were we bought a house. She adroitly guided us in making an offer and saved us several thousand dollars. Since the house we bought was under construction, she suggested several upgraded that really added to the beauty of the house. I would not hesitate to use her again

ZillowVERIFIED Chris Skrip is just a pleasure to work with. He, Maria, Gretchen are very responsive, and knowledgeable of the real estate market, banking, legal, tax procedures and contacts. We were interested in purchasing a piece of land and Chris confirmed property values and helped negotiate a fare price. We look forward to working with him again.

ZillowVERIFIED We worked with Maria Skrip on a relocation from Florida to South Carolina. She was quite helpful in her knowledge of the Beaufort area. We were only in the area for a limited amount of time and she was able to work with us and arranged to see many homes during that time, even in the pouring down rain! We eventually settled on a home right in Maria's neighborhood. We were so very pleased with her and her team during the entire process. Chris and Maria Skrip will help you with your real estate needs in the Beaufort/Bluffton/Hilton Head area. They will listen to what you are looking for and find matches in your budget. They know the area so well and what one may not readily know, the other does! They are a great real estate team. Their folks in the office are especially helpful as well. (Thank you, Gretchen Pierce!) The entire ReMax Dream team are good, honest, hard-working people! Thanks again. <3

ZillowVERIFIED We purchased a home in Beaufort SC from Maria at Remax on Bay Street, Maria/Chris are unbelievably knowledgable of the Beaufort SC area, Maria answered all of our questions about the area and the market, Maria and Chris were willing to go the extra mile to help us find the right house in the right location for us. Maria/Chris and their team know the Beaufort area extremely well, Maria/Chris know all the local builders so we were able to meet and go over plans to build with several builders but decided to buy already built. Maria was very knowledgeable of what each area of Beaufort had to offer. We were not familiar with Beaufort but Maria/Chris and their team helped us by answering all of our questions. Chris helped us during our pre settlement walk thru with question about how the garage door worked and other aspects of the home. I am looking forward to working with Maria/Chris again in the near future.

ZillowVERIFIED We started working with Chris in 2018 when he was recommended to us by a nice couple who had worked with him before. Chris is a great guy and has has been very patient with us - we came to Beaufort every 6 months and each time he took us out to see houses so that we could learn about the area. He has tons of local knowledge which helped immensely when it came time for us to buy our retirement home. We found the perfect home in a beautiful neighborhood and the process was relatively smooth and simple. We highly recommend Chris Skrip and Remax for your next Beaufort home purchase.

ZillowVERIFIED We were going to use Maria Skrip as our selling agent. Then we found out how bad she is. Inept, forgetful, lack of responsiveness, doesn't pay attention to details, says one thing and does another and is high handed. We verbally agreed to a six month listing. On the listing agreement she conveniently made it for eight months. She was told that my wife inherited the property yet she put my deceased mother in laws name on the listing agreement. Prior to the listing agreement there were multiple emails between Maria Skrip and myself. Multiple times she did not respond. I had to call or send an email to ask why she did not respond. She is the worst real estate agent that I have ever had the misfortune to deal with and I have bought and sold quite a number of properties. If any one asked me I would say stay far away from this real estate person.

ZillowVERIFIED We were referred to Maria when we decided to purchase a condo at Hilton Head as our future retirement property. As we currently live overseas, we needed a well organized real-estate professional - and we most definitively got one. We have flown in from Belgium and had one day to spend with Maria - she was exceptionally well prepared. She qualified our needs in advance and had a dozen viewings lined up. Within a one week's stay in the US (which was largely a vacation), we have extended a contract and settled all formalities. We closed the transaction long distance from Europe - this was much appreciated. We would strongly recommend Maria for those who have limited time, have very specific needs and need a real-estate professional who is opened to listen and can make things happen quickly and efficiently! Thank you!

ZillowVERIFIED It is our immense pleasure to recommend Maria as a real estate agent for any individual or family searching for the ideal home or condo In the Hilton Head area. Maria has worked with us for over 4 years to buy our home. I cannot tell you the number of homes/condo's that Maria would go preview and then send videos of. We bought our condo without ever stepping foot inside due to Maria's review and recommendations and its perfect! We were impressed with Marias professionalism and her genuine interest in assuring we were satisfied with our final decision on our new home. The best part is that we now have a new friend. ZillowVERIFIED I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Maria Skrip! We had never met her before, but it seemed she was a dear, dear friend. That is her beautiful personality. She was just incredible, and helped us each and every step of the way, as we made our way towards the purchase of our condo in Hilton Head, SC. Her knowledge about all things Hilton Head was and is remarkable. She was extremely invested in helping us with the many steps involved in searching for properties there on the island, that were approved by The Veterans Administration. If it had not been for Maria and her complete knowledge-base and expertise of The V.A., we would not have found the Villa we now call home. Her husband, Chris, is a Veteran and I know that gives her (and them), extra incentive to make it work out for Vets. She even took extra time to video the surrounding property and the inside of the condo we liked the most, just to make sure it was all we thought it would be. And it certainly was. She handled every call we made to her, about the many questions we had, with immediacy, with kindness and grace. My husband and I have never worked with anyone in this business as caring and as devoted to the goodness of the outcome than Maria Skrip. What she knows about real estate and the area she serves, which includes Bluffton and Beaufort and the surrounding areas of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina would fill volumes. I just hope you are as blessed as we have been to work with Maria when youre ready to move to this wonderful area of South Carolina.

ZillowVERIFIED This has been by far my best home buying experience. Chris was very knowledgeable about the Beaufort area and the current listings. He was very helpful in negotiations with the sellers and listing agent. He was at our side all the way through closing. After hurricane Mathew Chris went by the house to check on damage as we were not able to come down from Virginia right a way, and called us with a report. On our next trip down he came by the house to see how we were coming along with our move. We consider Chris and Maria our friends as well as our Relators. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning to move to the Beaufort aEUR" Bluffton area.

ZillowVERIFIED This is the second time we've worked with Maria on the purchase of a property. She has been such a joy to work with - we highly recommend hiring her as a realtor. When we told her we sold our house in NC and needed to find a new home as soon as possible, she got right on it and even made adjustments to own vacation so that she could show us a bunch of homes in a limited amount of time. We haven't met Chris in person, but he helped us over the phone with some electrical troubleshooting after we moved in. Thank you Maria and Chris. I think this just might be our forever home:)

ZillowVERIFIED Maria went above and beyond what I would expect from a realtor. We had to deal with the purchase of our condo from 4 hours away and Maria was so helpful, from finding our son temporary housing while we waited for our closing date to finding us cleaners and getting them scheduled for us. She always responded to my emails very quickly. I just can't say enough about what a great help Maria was to us and we will definitely be doing business with her again.

ZillowVERIFIED I purchased my home through Chris Skrip and his RE/MAX team. Never before had I dealt with such a welcoming, knowledgable, and proficient team. Chris is hands down the best realtor in Beaufort and the surrounding area. His wife Maria and teammate Gretchen were also very helpful. I consider myself to be a very selective buyer, which would exhaust most realtors. Not Chris Skrip. He was more than willing to show me properties, including on a Sunday, until I found the home of my dreams. His negotiating skills were right on point and he ensured that I had a seamless transition from Atlanta to South Carolina. I consider Chris, Maria, and Gretchen to be some of the most honest and reputable people I know and I am blessed to call them friends. If there were a 6 star rating, they would have earned it!!!

ZillowVERIFIED Very knowledgable of the area, the available houses for sales, willing to spend as much time as needed to give confidence in what to buy. Recommendations for places to eat, things to do, really sold the area as a place to come and live and retire. Facebook page and newsletter is great for local news and happenings. The process of finding a place, placing an offer, negotiating, and closing was very smooth.

ZillowVERIFIED Working with Chris Skrip was an amazing experience, we were looking to buy our first home in SC, but lived in CA. We explained what we were were looking for, our must haves and Chris ran with it. When I arrived in town, Chris showed me multiple houses, falling in our scope. He was very knowledgeable about the area, with the whole house buying experience, and he answered all our concerns immediately from the time we first met to even know after we have closed. He was also a great local guide, helping me understand the layout of the town, showing me some amazing restaurants, local activities and overall just a great guy to have a conversation with. I would Highly Recommend Chris Skrip and his team to anyone looking to buy, rent or sell their home.

Now that we moved into our home he was still very helpful in recomding contractors to help spruce up our home. He was not only our agent but now has become a good friend in helping us adjust to the life style in South Carolina as opposed to New York. ZillowVERIFIED I have recommend Chris and the gang. I live in Ohio and he was wonderful to work with. My first contact with Chris' office was with Gretchen who is extremely personable and knowledgeable. Most of the previewing was handled by e-mail. Drove to South Carolina on a Friday and bought a house on Lady's Island on Saturday. He listens to what you say and pays attention to what you want. I've worked with other realtors in Ohio and some just want to sell you what they can make the most commission on. Chris, Maria and Gretchen are very involved in the communities they service which I think make a big difference. I still get e-mails keeping me up on the latest in Beaufort and really appreciate it. Kudos!

ZillowVERIFIED Coming from the north, we visited Beaufort once a year for two years. Each time Chris spent a good part of the day showing us around the town and talking with us about the local real estate market. We were not even sure where in the south we wanted to spend our retirement. I think he helped to sell us on this beautiful town. The third year, we made the decision to move to Beaufort. The Skrip Team knew the areas where we wanted to buy and they set up homes for us to visit. What a great experience...we looked at and made an offer all in one day! Within the next few days, the inspection was done and the house was ours! We have never had a smoother transaction than this one. We have been here for three years and have no regrets! We have recommended Chris and his team to our friends...and strangers...who have the need of a real estate agent. Chris and Maria were and continue to be our first South Carolina friends!
