Selling you home, can be and adventure, with all the ups and downs in the market, interest rates, and of course, who you choose and trust to sell it. This year my wife and I decided to take ourselves out of NY and move to Florida with our 11-year-old son. This is a dream that we turned into a reality. Now we had to pick a Broker to sell our home. I have done this 4 times and in my past experiences, I can tell you, this can be an absolute nightmare if you do not select the right Company. When we connected with Mara Navaretta in January of 2021, right after our fist conversation, we were extremely impressed with her and how much Mara knew about our area, the home values, the whole housing market in general, and had an encyclopedia of information to share with us about the sale and closing process. The most important part to us was that Mara was very personable, and we connected immediately. We did not feel like just a sign on the lawn or a future client, we felt like we were working with a real partner who listened to our ideas and understood our needs. Once we agreed on the timing of our deal and agreed to use Homes by Mara Realty, our journey began. Mara had our home listed immediately on all the websites, sent a photographer over to take pictures, that after he was done, the pictures were so good, we did not even recognize our own home, they were incredible. Within days Mara hosted an open house, had multiple offers on the table, and drove the whole process from there. We always had 24/7 communications with Mara and knew exactly what phase of the sale we were in as she was always available for any questions. Hands down, this was the biggest financial transaction, I will probably ever make in my lifetime. We are so happy to have met and worked with Mara during these past few months and know we made the right decision by selecting her as our Broker. During this period, we were kept aware of all offers and market conditions out of our control. Mara was always accessible and responsive to our inquiries. After we went to contract, Mara continued working, especially since we were out of state in the middle of winter. She made sure our house was shoveled after snowstorms and visited our home every few days to give us comfort that there were no problems. She facilitated the disposal of unwanted items, including CLEANING OUR REFRIGERATOR. We were very pleased from start to finish with Mara and strongly recommend her.

ZillowVERIFIED I have hesitated to write this review, because it is hard to evaluate a mixed outcome. Mara listed and sold a home for my father, who passed away after sale of his home but before closing. Mara worked well with my Dad, and secured a buyer at the minimum selling price within three weeks of listing. Thinking that there was some efficiency to using Mara's husband and partner, John Navaretta, for the closing, John's services were secured. However, post contract (and my father's passing), as we waited for the buyers to secure financing, we found communications with Mara and John spotty and unclear. There were challenges to coordinating a closing date, and we found that we had an attorney that was not representing our interests, but rather the interests of his spouse and the buyers. I have never dealt with a more incompetent "law firm" - we were not given a closing package at closing, but were told it would be sent (I have closed on several properties and always left with a closing package). After almost three months of waiting, we requested the closing package and received a run around. Mara certainly knows the housing market and worked well with a senior seller. The price she got was fair (but at market value or below). If you work with her I recommend using your own attorney for closing. Her husband was the weakest link and has competing interests in the deal.
