ZillowVERIFIED Mara was our agent for both the sale of our previous home and the purchase of our new home. While I would say our process was possibly the exception rather than the rule, we had a lot of issues with our buying and selling processes. In particular, negotiations with the buyers and/or sellers on either end, as well as general responsiveness and thoroughness. We like to be updated at every turn and expect proactiveness, and we were let down on that front. Many times we had to ask for an update or send a message or call multiple times to get answers.We also had a couple instances of hearing "That will definitely work" or "I don't see why they won't accept that", only to find out that the buyers and/or sellers enthusiastically declined. Therefore, we would frequently get our hopes up only to be disappointed. We would have instead appreciated tempered expectations. Unfortunately, our process was overall pretty terrible. That being said, a lot of that could have come from bad luck with our buyers/sellers. Mara as a person was very friendly and respectful. We had higher expectations for our experience in general, and we just couldn't wait for it to be over with.
