ZillowVERIFIED When our aunt died, leaving a very elderly husband, we were tasked with having to sell their house to help fund his long-term care. We were at a loss, not living in the Washington NC area and not having been involved in the buying or selling of real estate for decades.... where to begin? Lydie was recommended to us and what a great recommendation that turned out to be! she listened as we told her what the situation was, offered her recommendations, strategies, and advice. she was always available during the process via phone, text, and email days, evenings, and weekends answering questions, providing updates and calming frayed nerves. Lydie guided us through this (to us) stressful process every step of the way and assisted by arranging for a local charity willing to accept and pick up donated furniture and finding local trades people if needed. We would not hesitate to recommend Lydie to anyone buying or selling real estate. His perspective: We as a couple don't trade in real estate or cars very often so the art of negotiation is not something in which we often engage. First of all, real estate is clearly a local market, and the trade in our uncle's hometown is different from ours, only about 40 miles away. Secondly, having someone to help you negotiate is a necessity if you don't practice it often. Third, you may have some conditions (selling "as is" for example) but there are small enhancements that a professional may urge, and after this experience, it likely worth following their advice. Perhaps finally, certainly as a seller, and probably as a buyer, there are subtleties in financing that may make your life easier, things you never knew about, and that only an experienced pro understands. As a seller, Lydie assisted us with all the above, and certainly made our experience better and as stressless as it could be. NVM/JJM
