About Lourdes Reefer
My journey into real estate began after years of military service and leadership experience. I have always had a passion for helping people, building relationships, and creating opportunities for families through homeownership. Real estate allowed me to combine my leadership background, business education, and service-oriented mindset into a career where I could make a meaningful impact in people's lives. Over time, I expanded into new construction sales, development, and property management services.
I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University and am an Accredited Buyer's RepresentativeA(R) (ABRA(R)) and Military Relocation Professional (MRP). I am also a graduate of the Raleigh Realtor Leadership Academy and a retired military field grade officer. My education, leadership background, negotiation skills, and experience in new construction, development, and property management allow me to provide clients with strategic guidance, strong communication, and a high level of professionalism throughout every transaction.

FAQ
Start by checking your credit, reviewing your finances, and speaking with a trusted lender to understand your buying power and loan options. It’s also important to avoid making large purchases or opening new credit accounts during the home-buying process. Work with a knowledgeable Realtor® who can help guide you through the market, negotiate on your behalf, and help you make informed decisions. Buying a home is one of the biggest investments you will make, so having the right strategy and team matters.
Preparation and pricing are everything. Sellers should focus on presenting their home in the best possible condition through decluttering, staging, professional photography, and proper marketing. Pricing strategically from the beginning is critical in today’s market. I also encourage sellers to work with an agent who provides strong marketing exposure, communication, and negotiation skills to maximize their equity and attract qualified buyers.
I have worked with a wide variety of clients including first-time homebuyers, military families, veterans, relocating professionals, luxury home sellers, investors, new construction buyers, and homeowners looking to downsize or upgrade. As a Military Relocation Professional and veteran myself, I especially enjoy helping active-duty military members and veterans navigate the home-buying and relocation process with confidence.
One transaction that stands out involved helping a veteran family transition out of the military while purchasing their next home. It was especially meaningful because I personally understand the challenges that come with military transitions and relocations. We worked together to create a strong strategy, and we were able to get the home under contract with a full-price offer. Seeing the excitement and relief on my client’s face at closing reminded me why I love what I do — helping people through important life transitions and making the process as smooth as possible.
