About DAVID ABERNATHY
David Abernathy helps buyers and property owners make well-informed decisions about luxury, waterfront, condominium and country-club real estate in Northern Palm Beach County.
A licensed Florida real estate professional since 2004 and part of Waterfront Properties & Club Communities since 2007, David combines local market knowledge with disciplined financial and property analysis. Before transitioning to serve clients directly in 2026, he was Waterfront's Business Manager, playing a central role in the company's internet marketing strategy and helping lead the development of its award-winning artificial intelligence initiatives.
Over nearly two decades, David had the opportunity to work alongside Waterfront owner Rob Thomson, Northern Palm Beach County's No. 1 real estate agent, and many of the area's most accomplished community specialists. That experience gave him a broad perspective on how distinctive properties are evaluated, positioned and presented-and a deep appreciation for the local knowledge that can materially affect a client's decision.
David's process starts with evidence: recent sales, active competition, pricing, market time, property records and the most relevant comparable properties. He then considers factors the data cannot fully capture, including condition, location, dockage, community differences and buyer preferences. By collaborating with Waterfront's community, waterfront and condominium specialists, David helps clients understand not only what the numbers show, but what they mean for a particular property and decision.
David serves on the MIAMI REALTORSA(R) - RWorld, Miami Division Board and the BeachesMLS Board. He previously served as the 2020 JTHS-MIAMI President. His earlier work in wealth management and trust administration continues to shape his analytical, client-focused approach
