1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Buying your first home is a big milestone, and going in prepared can make all the difference. Start by getting pre-approved for a mortgage so you know exactly what you can afford and can present a stronger offer when the time comes. Just because you’re approved for a certain amount doesn’t mean you should spend it all, leave room in your budget for maintenance, furnishing, and life. It’s important to work with a buyer-focused real estate agent who will educate you, advocate for you, and help you spot red flags rather than just push a sale.
As you search, think long-term: consider the neighborhood, commute, resale potential, and school districts, even if kids aren’t in the picture yet. Create a clear list of must-haves versus nice-to-haves so you can stay focused in a fast-moving market. Remember, the true cost of homeownership goes beyond the purchase price, factor in closing costs, inspections, appraisals, property taxes, insurance, and potential HOA dues. Always get a home inspection, even in a competitive market, to avoid costly surprises down the road.

2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
If you're preparing to sell your home, the most important thing you can do is start with the right mindset and a strong strategy. Begin by choosing an experienced agent who knows your local market inside and out. A great agent will help you price your home accurately, market it effectively, and negotiate with confidence. Overpricing may seem tempting, but it often leads to longer days on market and lower final offers. Pricing it right from the start generates more interest and stronger offers.
Before listing, invest time in preparing your home. Declutter, deep clean, and take care of any minor repairs. Professional staging and high-quality photography can make a huge difference in how your home presents online, which is where most buyers will first see it. Make sure your home feels inviting and move-in ready.
Be flexible and responsive during the showing process. The easier it is for buyers to tour your home, the better chance you have of receiving strong offers quickly. Finally, keep your emotions in check. Selling a home can be personal, but it's also a business decision. 4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently helped "Becky" downsize into a 1-story condo. She was living in a 2-story home that was proving to be unsafe for her. I was able to help her realize the benefits of a smaller, more manageable property, close to her friends. (Old and new).
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I got started in real estate after growing up in Gig Harbor and realizing just how much this community means to me. With a background in service and a genuine love for connecting with people, real estate felt like a natural fit. I was drawn to the idea of helping others navigate some of the biggest decisions of their lives, and I knew I could bring a relationship-first, client-focused approach to the industry.
What started as a career move quickly became something much more. I built my business on trust, communication, and local expertise, and over time, those values helped me grow a loyal client base. Now, more than a decade in, I’m proud to lead The Lindsay Jackman Group—serving buyers and sellers across Gig Harbor with a thoughtful strategy, a strong work ethic, and a heart for the people I work with.
