About Leigh McPherson
Leigh grew up in the Birmingham, Alabama, area and attended Vestavia Hills High School. She is a graduate of Agnes Scott College, where she enjoyed the benefits of big-city life in Atlanta, and she also holds a master's degree in English from Auburn University. She has many happy memories of summers in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Alabama's beautiful Gulf coast.
Leigh was honored by her colleagues in 2008 and 2009 as the recipient of RE/MAX - Orange Beach's Cooperative Spirit award. She is active in Children's Miracle Network (a RE/MAX sponsored charity), and local charitable foundations including Impact 100 Baldwin County and Orange Beach Elementary School.
It is a dream come true for Leigh to now reside in Orange Beach, Alabama on the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast, where her family has vacationed for over 45 years. Leigh is excited to be a part of this dynamic time in the development of the Alabama Gulf Coast, and she enjoys sharing this excitement with others. Leigh and her husband, Captain Don McPherson, owner of Getaway Charters, enjoy the costal life here in Orange Beach. In her spare time, she loves to read or spend time outdoors. You may see her working in her yard, walking on the beach, biking in her Orange Beach neighborhood, Mulligan Place, or fishing with Don on the Getaway. Their family includes son Rob, daughter-in-law Salley, grandson Crawford and granddaughter Francie. Rob and Salley are graduates of the University of Mississippi; and Rob now practices law in Dallas, Texas at the firm of Weil Gotschal and Manges following his graduation from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
Additionally, Leigh is now an international entrepreneur, as co-owner with her husband of Pacific Fish and Beach, an exclusive fishing and casual clothing boutique located at Marina Pez Vela, Quepos, Costa Rica. As an IRES, she can also assist you with property information and sales in Central America, which has become a second area of specialization for her.
