To decide, I called an out-of-state realtor friend for advice. She said to choose the close friend. Mistake. Not because she was a close friend, but because she was part-time.I have a zillion degrees and have taught math for two and a half decades, but was ignorant regarding finances and homebuying. I NEEDED to be walked through the process, and that is what I got from Leigh Brown and her team. What I loved about Leigh and her team was that I felt supported without condescension. I felt like I was being taught without feeling stupid. If I had a question, I got an answer quickly. Every step of the process felt smooth on my end, when I'm sure it was rocky on her team's end. I felt special (which I know I am!), but I also know I was probably treated the same as every other client. I have and will continue to recommend Leigh to others, and we will use Leigh Brown again when we sell this house and buy a new one. A part-time person would not have the time or resources, or FANTASTIC team to hold my hand every step of the way - EVERY step (loan, appraisal, survey, inspection, repairs after inspection, having neighbors move a misplaced fence, offers & counteroffers, closing, and of course, looking through houses!)Most of all, I love that Leigh leads by example and helps empower women. When we contacted them, they replied promptly and were quick to do the comps and come back to us with ideas on how to sell our home (it had been listed with a neighbor/realtor for the previous 6 months and hadn't sold). It's amazing what a transformation our home made thanks to their suggestions to paint all the dark trim and paneling in the den and kitchen white and to replace our dated ceiling fans and bathroom fixtures. The final advice that I truly think helped sell our home was the staging of the entire first floor (the house was empty as we had moved to another state). Then their professional photography of all rooms as well as enticing descriptions were top notch! Their notification system re: showings and the feedback was always prompt and helpful and they never pushed us to reduce the price. We would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to sell their home!

I was going to put my house up for sale and was also doing some home shopping for a family member. I had set up an appointment with the listing agent as well as the buyer's agent to get everything done in one place. As soon as I finished with the buyer's agent and the "mortgage" company they used, I got an email from the listing agent stating that he is cancelling the appointment to list my house because he spoke to the buyer's agent regarding my family member's home buying situation. What does that have to do with me listing my home for sale? I'm not so sure. Two totally different situations and he pretty much cancelled because of "his conversation with the buyer's agent". I thought to myself that there are 2 different people doing 2 different things and both are unrelated. Our agent, Lawrence Mahool, gave great, *realistic* advice on what would get the home sold aEUR" right pricing, right staging, right repairs, etc.. We took most of it, replacing worn carpet, trimming overhanging trees, cleaning as needed, de-cluttering, restoring our living room to a living room from its role as an office...The young photographer, Danielle (?) did a great job capturing the house's many attributes and getting a good selection on the web.The house was under contract, WITH A SECOND OFFER WAITING IN THE WINGS, in less than 24 hours officially on the market! It was shown *only twice,* that I'm aware of! Getting two offers from two showings, on the first day it was available to show, was not something we were entirely prepared for!Leigh Brown did a great job while Lawrence was on vacation, walking me through the negotiation process, and helping us get a signed contract. We got just about what we expected we would get.Leigh Strickland did a great job helping us with the details approaching the close.There were numerous complications associated with the BUYERS' situation (selling their home, their buyers' financing and closing timing, financing the purchase of ours, title search, etc.). Our buyers also wanted numerous inspections beyond the first one. So we settled the entire transaction about 22 days later than anticipated. Leigh Brown's team did their part to make the entire process as smooth as possible, even when the buyers were delaying the process with hiccup after hiccup. We are happy to have the place sold, and would recommend Leigh's team to anyone.

Of course I said sure, bring me an offer.....and he did. We reached an agreement and the deal was closed in 30 days.Interestingly I received a call from one realtor asking about the status and she responded by saying I should have called her as she would have probably gotten over the asking price from her client. As I shared with Lawrence, his handling of the transaction is what separates a professional from the rest of the pack. He was creative and got the deal done. I am sure some will say well you priced it too low. Maybe but I doubt it as it was at the top of the market for what was selling in that neighborhood. Besides, Lawrence had a cash offer with no contingencies. My belief is take the best deal that makes sense rather than waiting for the dream offer. In this case, I am happy and so are the buyers. I had been reviewing real estate online and had a list of homes I wanted to see. The one home I was most interested in went under contract the same day I looked at it before I was ready to make an offer. Leigh discouraged me from looking at some of the other homes on my list because she was aware of "problems." Leigh showed me three other homes she thought would meet our needs and one was a perfect fit for my husband and I. DEDICATION: They are 100% working for you. We ran into numerous complications with our purchase- related to the appraisal and also dealing with a difficult seller. We feel like we were supported and represented with utmost professionalism during the whole process. Our agent bent over backwards and really went to bat for us to make sure we had every chance of getting our dream home- and it paid off in the end! We feel like other agents might have encouraged us to move in a different direction, but knowing how much we really wanted the house, ours really put in the extra time, effort, research and resources to get the deal done- and we are in our dream house today! INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE: Having an agent who really knows the business is key. ZillowVERIFIED After meeting with a previous realtor who helped us buy our first house, we were less than impressed with that realtors promptness and knowledge of our local market, and particularly the way she dismissed our conversations because she knew what we wanted better than we did. Jamie and I decided we needed to reach out for another opinion, and we found Leigh Brown and Associates through Dave Ramseys Endorsed Local Provider program. We set a meeting at Leighs office, and she spent over an hour with us during the first meeting aEUR" we went through every house listed for sale or that recently sold in our neighborhood and those immediately surrounding. We left with a crystal clear understanding of which houses were selling, in what price range, and why. As soon as we walked out of her office my wife and I looked at each other and knew the only decision was to hire Leigh and her team to sell our home. Once we were ready to list our home, Leigh came out, walked through the house with us and detailed everything she thought we needed to do in order to show the house as best we could. Ranging from repainting baseboards to deep cleaning carpets to rearranging furniture, to de-cluttering; we covered a lot of territory. We took some time and followed all of Leighs suggestions to prepare the house to list. When we officially put the house on the market Leigh brought in her marketing specialist, Virginia. Virginia prepared flyers for the yard, brochures to leave out for prospective buyers, and marketed our home on what seemed like every web site ever created. We had 3 showing requests the first 24 hours the home was on the market aEUR" one of them even came back through for a second showing right away! Their marketing never died down, we averaged a couple showings every week the whole time our house was on the market. Leigh and Virginia kept in contact with us on a weekly basis with marketing reports showing how our house was marketed, real estate trends in our local area showing us how similar homes were being bought/sold, and other frequent communication on how to handle questions that we had from time to time. When we had an offer we wanted to accept, Leigh Strickland took over aEUR" she handled all of the details from that point with regard to the contracts, scheduling the inspectors, and coordinating everything with the buyers agent. She did a great job preparing us for the closing, we never felt overwhelmed or in over our heads aEUR" we always knew what to expect and how to handle each step of the process. We are also using Amy Gamble, another of Leigh Browns amazing team members, to work with us in building our new home. Amy has been nothing short of amazing, but Ill save that review for when that house is complete. Overall our experience was phenomenal, when we are ready to sell again, we will absolutely call Leigh Brown and her team. The entire process was exactly what we needed aEUR" they constantly fed us information and answered questions we didnt even know we should be asking!
