Lawrence Chatt

Originally from Upstate New York, Larry earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His leadership roles at General Motors, General Electric, and Precision Castparts Corporation provided a strong foundation for his current position as Broker-Owner of Island Real Estate of Anna Maria Island, Inc. Since purchasing his first property on Anna Maria Island in 1994, Larry has gained unmatched, hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of island real estate. He has invested in and developed on Anna Maria Island, commercial and residential properties, constructed homes and multiple commercial buildings, overseen major renovations, extended sewer and water infrastructure with Manatee County, and managed properties across annual, monthly, and vacation rental markets. Most recently, he co-led the development of a direct Gulf-front condominium project in Holmes Beach. This extensive experience gives Larry a rare, first-hand understanding of the opportunities and challenges buyers and property owners face on Anna Maria Island. Beyond real estate, Larry has been deeply involved in the community. He has served as Director, Executive Leader, and Chairman of the Board for the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce. He also founded the Anna Maria Island Vacation Property Association (AMIVPA), which grew to nearly 1,000 members, to promote responsible vacation rental management and foster collaboration between property owners, residents, and city leaders. In 2016, Larry was honored as "Anna Maria Island Business Person of the Year." Larry is committed to professional growth, graduating from the Florida Realtor Leadership Academy an elite program that selects only 12 professionals annually from over 200,000 Realtors statewide. A full-time resident since 2005, Larry enjoys family life on the island with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons: Grayson, who attends college in North Carolina, and Landon, who is enrolled in the Manatee County school system.
