She showed us multiple homes throughout Westchester County, over the course of several weeks (we were living in Manhattan at the time of the property search, and we were taking our time and wanted to be thorough and informed with our decision). She patiently helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Having grown up in Westchester County, she knew the different towns and neighborhoods well. The instant a new home popped up matching our interests, she would contact us to show us the home. She gave us insightful advice when looking at homes and was instrumental in navigating multiple bid situations and negotiating the final terms for the house we purchased. She was in constant communication with us throughout the process, during evenings and weekends. She was also very kind. A few times, when we had to take the train instead of our car to visit a home, she offered us rides to and from the train station.

After connecting with two perfectly ok agents, we landed on Laurie who immediately distinguished herself with a much higher level of energy, engagement and patience. Heres why this was appreciated. Aside from all the inconveniences posed by COVID, we were further disadvantaged by house hunting from Southern California. Although we were New Yorkers returning home after 10 years, we were largely unfamiliar with most of the neighborhoods we were exploring in Westchester. We were also very particular about the style of house we were looking for. Add to this the anxiety associated with finding a new school for our teenage daughter in the middle of a school year put us more than a little on the high-maintenance side. Laurie didnt flinch. We were immediately impressed at our first virtual showing. Not only did she patiently and thoroughly walk us through the house several times, but she also mounted her camera on her dashboard and gave us a tour of the neighborhood, including stores and the nearest Metro North station. This gave us a sense of perspective that we did not get from other agents. She showed us houses we loved several times, and even did second showings with my wifes parents who live in nearby Rye. When I impulsively hopped on a plane and flew 3,000 miles to house hunt in person, she and I doubled-up our masks and she drove me to numerous properties until we found the one that I liked and my wife loved (which means were living in it now). Laurie is a dedicated and forceful advocate who maintains her engagement throughout the entire process. She is also a remarkably patient professional who understands the gravity of buying a home and the concomitant anxieties of prospective buyers. Shes candid when asked for her opinion, even if it points to a shortcoming in the home that may mean that you walk awayaEUR"and this she does without hesitation, which to us is a mark of integrity. When it comes time for us to sell, no matter when that may be, well be calling Laurie. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
