About Laura Morgan

Like so many folks that love NC, I'm a transplant. A native New Yorker by birth and a Chapel Hill girl by marriage, I've been living, working and raising my family here for more than 22 years. Life is full of wonderful surprises - and my career reflects that - with early years spent working for UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund. What is the total opposite of working for children in developing countries? Wall Street! So I went there and spent years working for Lehman Brothers and Reuters, planning special projects and events in the US, Europe and Asia. It was exciting and has left me with a great love of travel. Fast forward - Laura and Reg get married and move to Chapel Hill. Kids, dogs, cats and a great job at UNC, designing and building their University Events department. And finally -- here my ultimate pivot! My best job, my favorite job ever!!! Helping people from all over find their special home in the Triangle like I did. What makes me special as a Realtor? That one is easy - I love our towns, and I want you to find your place here, too. That starts with great project management and negotiation skills and ends... Well never. I am your resource for kids' sports teams, restaurants, doctors, shopping, trails and rescue animals. My husband, Reg - also a Compass realtor and a licensed appraiser, and I have three teenagers - all current or former students of the Chapel Hill Carrboro city schools. Laura is the best! I bought a house contingent on selling my condo and it was not an easy process with several moving parts. At any moment one domino could have causes the entire deal to collapse but she went above and beyond to get the deal done! I'm not talking about going the extra mile, but going the extra TEN MILES.
