About Laura Forbes
The mother of three, Laura was born and raised in Southern Maryland, and currently resides in LaPlata. Her children, Alyssa, 24, Otway, 18, and Priscilla, 10, are her pride and joy! When she is not engaged in household activities with her family, Laura is immersed in community activities, her church and charity fundraisers. She is a 25-year active member and participant of the Waldorf Vineyard, and volunteers her time to Angels Watch Homeless Shelter and Safe Haven, where she provides mentoring, and collects furniture and household items to help single mothers and their children get a fresh start in their new homes. She is a strong supporter of the Western Charles County Community Association (WCCCA), helping with summer camps for needy children, and bringing awareness to families living without electric and running water.
Other organizations Laura supports includes Christmas Connection sponsored by Grace Lutheran Church in La Plata, the Charles Regional Medical Center, The Hospice House of Charles County, Health Partners of Waldorf, and is an active member and two-term past President of the Southern Maryland Women's League, where she currently hold the position of Secretary.
Laura knows the entire region, the school systems (both public and private), and many, many of Southern Maryland's cultural outlets. She is an asset for any home buyer or seller looking for expertise in the Southern Maryland real estate market and surrounding communities.

Without ever meeting face to face, she took on a huge task in managing this sale and did it providing outstanding guidance and knowledge. She was instrumental in every step, going so far above the responsibility of "real estate agent". She has a network of people that she brought in for absolutely every service needed to make the property marketable and at prices that the average home owner would never be able to negotiate. She arranged every service from cleaning up the property, repainting the interior, electrical work, landscaping to housecleaning services the day before listing.Laura checked on the property frequently, followed up with every contractor and confirmed each job was done exactly as agreed, met and accepted delivery and installation of a new refrigerator and even filled the pool to keep it at proper levels. Considering that my home was 20 miles to the nearest grocery store, every trip Laura made there was a long way for her to travel.I could not have a picked a better agent and honestly don't know that there is another person that would have been as dedicated, persistent and willing to do all that she did. I would suggest her to any person in Southern Maryland with a home to sell. I highly recommend Laura and am so grateful for everything she did for me!
