Because we were very unfamiliar with the region, we tried at least two or three agents who weren't able (or all that interested, actually) in helping us learn about the options within our price range, the local culture, what to watch out for, etc. Then we met Lance. He not only knows Western Montana, he was very willing to drive us in all directions on the compass until we found the perfect home for us. We've been here almost 3 years now and realize with every new month what an ideal town and home Lance helped us find. It could've easily gone the other way moving from so far away!
